Because anyone that would knowingly buy a Chrysler product is challenged anyway

lol Jeep has many Chrysler parts nowadays unfortunately but I still like my jeep, and I find that most jeep drivers are much better drivers than others. Not just saying that cause I am one lol

Jeep Wrangler, although not very well rated for reliability, has the 2nd best resale value of any vehicle sold in america. Jeep anything else have horrendous resale values and poor reliability.

Chrysler Sedans are absolute junk with bottom barrel resale. Chrysler Capital sells a lot of Bogues by pushing out approvals on sedans other companies would turn down. I see a lot of used cars on a monthly basis. I get a pretty good idea of what is and isnt a car I would recommend. Of the Domestic brands I would recommend Ford above all others

Ours is a grand cherokee which as far as I know has good resale value but you're the expert.

Verrrrrry happy with our Chevrolet Impalas. Didn't you say earlier that Chevy sedans had the poorest resale value? Has that been eclipsed by the Chrysler sedans?

I see innumerable Dodge Chargers on the roads. What an ugly car -- it looks "mean."

I read an article a coupla months back that had 3 Jeeps in the top 10 worst vehicles for 2016.

Here's what CheatSheet says about Jeeps, having them #2, just under Fiat, for the worst vehicles:

"FCA is taking one heck (now it's VJFF) of a pummeling this year. Try as it might, the Jeep brand has once again ranked poorly after numerous Consumer Reports tests and reviews. After receiving the worst predicted reliability rating, a 55 road test score, and a review that doesnt recommend a single model, the off-road king now has an overall score of only 43. We may have been impressed by the EcoDiesel Grand Cherokee and the fun little turbocharged Renegade Sport seen here, but apparently theres more to the equation than meets the eye."

Ours is a grand cherokee which as far as I know has good resale value but you're the expert.

Most people should never need anything more than a Model T anyway. Too bad they don't make those anymore.

I think it had something to do with the Model T being an open cockpit with no climate control. Been pretty cold here in Michigan the past few weeks, I would not have liked driving a Model T in that period.

On another note, I just got a new car with a heated steering wheel, I now know what I was missing!

I have a small fleet of vans, I only buy Ford. I only buy 3/4 ton, and they just don't break down. I have 3 cargo vans and each has at least 200K on them and some have close to 300K, Most have had new tranny's and front end rebuilt but other than that they have proven to be very reliable vehicles.

All I know is, in snowy icy VT, it serves us really well. I've seen others that are considered more "reliable" stranded, stuck, sliding, you name it. This Jeep cares about nothing. And say what you will about their other parts, the engines(which are still made by jeep as far as I know) are solid, knock on wood.

Yeah, I was just joking because sometimes it feels like most don't go over 20 mph anyway so why pay more for a newer, faster car :D

The great lakes area and us usually get pretty similar weather, so I understand what you're talking about lol we're going to have our first day above freezing here today after a while that included sub zero temps.

Jeep have always had a reputation for not getting stuck in dicey conditions, and they are still very popular despite Consumers Report. I don't usually follow CR as their ratings seem to be a bit biased, although they didn't do Tesla any favors on the Model S or Model X. The reliability and utility of a car is more related to individual personal experience and essentially anecdotal. I for one have had several GM vehicles last me well over 300K miles with only routine maintenance, but I can imagine if I had a vehicle, no matter the brand, that was constantly in the shop it would piss me off as well.

Neutral, actually. In Texas, we typically need to blast the A/C on the steering wheel before we can grasp it for any length of time.

That without a doubt.

I base my experience on what I see mostly

Example if someone pulls up in a Late model Chevy Cruz. looking to trade we find out how up side down they are first, becuse chances are unless they put a lot of money down they are buried. They depreciate like a rock falling out of an airplane.

The Impala is not as bad

As for heated steering wheels. I have sold them, but never gotten feed back

I love the blind spot monitors on cars
