Today I am thankful that the most awful President I have seen in my lifetime is almost done. It is so incredibly sad how he has created such a racially divided America. Its sad how he has created an America that does not respect law enforcement. I pray that PEOTUS Donald Trump will save our country from this downward spiral Obama has created. Here is to real "hope."

You know, the only time I ever actually unfriended someone over their opinions was just this one time, an Australian friend of mine that I've known for almost 2 decades(from the same irc network my wife and I actually met). After the nightclub terror attack she posted something along the lines of she has no sympathy for the victims till americans get a brain and deal with the gun issues. I don't have a problem with people who are anti guns. But, there were two things about her post that irked me. 1. You don't have sympathy for them because of something that has nothing to do with them? In fact, I bet most of them believed the same thing she does and 2. The gun issue would not have prevented the attack, if anything the attack could have been stopped dead in its tracks if some of them had guns. But the lack of outsiders' understanding of American politics and policies and their condescending attitude as if they know better(and I am saying that as someone who has lived on the "outside" most of his life and knows exactly how that goes) that was the last straw from her for me. She's said other things before that I ignored. Largely, if someone has a different political opinion that's cool with me, but when due to your own ignorance and lack of understanding of a situation you take it out on innocent victims you cross a line. Anyway that's my rant for the night.
