Greetings!

She needs to have the birth certificate printed on NSO Security paper. , Make sure to order more than one to avoid re ordering it again...Avoid the hassle...I ordered 4 copies as i know that i will be needing it all the way till I have my citizenship.

Here is what i did:

1. When i ordered my birth ceritficate from NSO the result was negative. so instead, of a birth certificate printed on a security paper i was given a negative certificate....i got so upset! so headed to NSO for inquiry.

2. I was sent back to Registrars office who had my birth certificate record ;then i requested for my birth certificate; and asked for endorsement.

3. At the registrars office, just make sure to tell them that you need an endorsement to NSO for birth certificate so that you can request for a birth certificate printed on security paper.

4. They took my " birth certificate copy" and added an endorsment request letter, then i was asked if i want them to mail it for me or i can mail it myself which i did. i paid two way prepaid to LBC that way they can directly send the birth certificate copies to me....I requested 4 copies...fees that time it was P125.00 pesos each copy.

5. One month after i got four birth certificate printed on NSO security paper.

p.s. I Wonder how they make the right census if one was not officially registered at NSO?

Hi Larry, nice to see your post in here again. Havent heard from Jen again yet. I got mine printed on NSO paper, maybe Jen can request/tell the clerk in NSO that she will need it for US Embassy/ travel and they want it printed on NSO paper. I remembered when I got mine I asked them about that and they told me yeah it will be printed on their NSO paper.

It has been stated in the past by veterans of the K-1 and USE experience in Manila that a baptismal certificate would be good "proof of identity" if the NSO birth certificate indicated that it was a "late registered" birth.
