Guys, I'm not sure but there seem only to be doctors in Rio, SP, Belo and Brasília (https://br.usembassy.gov/pt/vistos/instrucoes-para-os-exames-medicos/)

Is this correct? We live in Recife... our interview is in 4 weeks, how should we proceed?

While not specific to Brazil, in my husband's home country (Mexico), you can only do the medical exam in the same city where the interview is - and both are 14+ hours (driving) away from his home. We will be spending several days in a hotel to complete everything at once (medical, biometrics, interview). Maybe that's also what you'll need to do?

Hello,

You will need to schedule your exams at the clinic in Rio de Janeiro, call the clinic, tell us the date of your interview, and they will schedule your medical appointment for a date one day before your interview. The clinics are close to each other, in one day you can do all the exams. Don't forget the vaccination card with all vaccines taken, that's important.

yes, there are only 4 approved doctors in Brazil. You can call them and inquiry about prices, dates available, how long you'll need to complete everything, etc, then you can make a decision. Lots of people choose to go to Rio, I strongly recommend dr Juliana that is located in BH, it was cheaper to go there, stay a couple of days and leave with the sealed envelope (was not an option in Rio when I quoted the doctors last year)
