I GOT A TOUCH!!!!

So here i am at 3:30am everyone pray its a good touch okay? :thumbs:

01-03-08 - Arrived in the States on K1

01-28-08 - Got married! :) And applied for SSN in married name

02-04-08 - Received SSN

02-08-08 - Sent AOS package off

02-20-08 - Received at the Chicago Lockbox after 12 days!! :( stupid USPS

02-26-08 - NOAs for I-485 and I-765

02-27-08 - Check cashed

03-14-08 - AOS Transfer notice to CSC

03-21-08 - Sent AP (I-131) package off

03-26-08 - Biometrics complete! AOS and AP show up online

04-04-08 - AOS last touched

04-11-08 - NOA for I-131

04-23-08 - EAD card production ordered!

04-24-08 - AP approved!

05-02-08 - AP recieved

07-03-08 - AOS APPROVED!! Card production ordered! Yay!!

07-11-08 - Greencard received!! :D

I GOT A TOUCH!!!!

So here i am at 3:30am unable to sleep and i decide to read about all the new approvals and before i log off i check my account on the csc site and.... 08/03/07 i got a touch!!!!11!1! no phone calls or anything... i'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO stoked and now i'm afraid i wont be able to sleep at all...

heres to another 20+ apps approved this week!!!!!

hmmmm should i text my girly while she's at work or wait until she gets off to tell her... hmmmm... i'll text her now. :)

needless to say my text didn't go over well because " i should be sleeping at this hour" hehe oh well. 3+ months of nothing and then a touch... that will get you excited!

Will somebody please tell me what is a touch? Is it an email notification? Does it show up on the USCIS site as something other than the message "Case Received and Pending" I've seen for months now? I logged in and on my Portfolio page under the "Last Updated" column is 8/3/07. It was a different date last week. Does that mean I got a touch??

I've asked before what being touched means but didn't get an answer.

Will somebody educate me?

Thank you to all you wonderful people who've been willing to share your stories and help me not feel so alone. My NOA1 date is April 9th and I keep thinking every day the NOA2 will arrive, but nothing yet.

Yippee!!! Thanks for telling me. I've been debating whether or not to call but haven't yet so this sounds like a legit touch! I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed for us and everyone else who is waiting to be with the one they love - at last...

Its going to be another busy week at the CSC!!!! I'm praying for everyone!

2-22-08 - I-485 rev'd

2-27-08 - NOA1

3-17-09 - Transferred to Cali.

4-12-08 - Biometrics

4-22-08 - Touch

4-28-08 - EAD received.

...waiting...

3-04-09 - Had to renew the EAD :(

3-04-09 - Got annoyed at being outside of the processing window

3-04-09 - Called and they confirmed. Will contact me within 45 days.

3-05-09 - Date on the EAD NOA1

3-12-09 - Received a confirmation email that I am outside of the window and will get a decision in 60 days.

3-12-09 - TOUCH!!!

3-27-09 - Touch!

5-09-09 - Randomly received the renewed EAD Card... w/ wrong A# :(.

I just called and spoke to someone at CSC. He was a very cool person and we even chit chatted about some non-business stuff. Anyways, he said "my case was assigned and was physically on an officers desk" and that I should hear something this week or so.

That gave me a tidbit of hope!

One thing I forgot to mention... When he was checking my status, he mentioned that they are currently processing cases BEFORE April 13th. I don't know how that applies to some people but maybe it provides some insight....
