So CSC is averaging about 1 every two weeks? sigh.

Maybe today we will have many announcements hehe.

I've read a lot posts with people complaining about how long Canada is taking.

That long wait time makes no sense to me. Seems all ya should need to immigrate from Canada is either a divers license a bicycle or a strong pair of legs haha.

Is there just a buhjillion people waiting to immigrate from Canada?

Doesn't make sense for that to take so long when your fiance can just drive on down and stay awhile.;)

Immigration laws can be so silly.:D

Weekly Rant: (seems like the situation hasn't changed at all for weeks...)

So a quick immigration timeline search of CSC shows a whopping 9 applications approved in the last 2+ weeks. Not only that, a total of 1 has been approved so far in July, that's right, 1! First 10 days of June had 25 approvals, first 10 days of May had 53. What's even better is that no one that sent their application in during April has been approved, that's right, not one. Fantastic!!! The only thing I love more than this K-1 process is knowing that I'm lucky enough to have filed at CSC. CSC is such a superstar that our wise government decided to send 2 of the other 3 national service centers application to be processed by CSC right after we all filed. Now, while also dismally slow, TSC and NSC are actually being processed faster than the applications that are actually suppose to be at CSC. Don't forget, TSC and NSC apps, while at CSC, are being processed independently of the true CSC ones, so they really provide no indication of adjudication for us true CSCers. The only real indication we have right now is that those that sent their apps in mid-late March are being processed at the rate of about 1 per day. Let's face it my fellow April filers, we are on the four month plan if we are lucky. No summer love for any of us....

K-1 Visa Timeline

4/9/07 - Mailed 129-f to CSC

8/25 - 8/29 - Traveled to Ukraine to see my baby!

8/31 - Actually sent to NVC at 6:27pm (I knew that allegedly was appropriate)

9/7 - Received at NVC (finally), case number assigned!!!

9/11 - Sent by NVC to Kiev!

Its true the stats are indeed dismal, but there have been some April filers with CSC that have been approved. DakotaK1 has a NOA1 date of April 9th. JVKnCVO have a NOA1 date of April 14th. both of these couples have received their NOA2's. There have been others as well but I can't remember their names.

Where did you hear that they adjudicate transfered applications separately. This has been a theory posted by some. I did call the CSC using the RFE trick and they assured me they do not. Now I know I don't entirely trust what they say either, but have you read this somewhere or did they tell you that?

I do agree it has sucked not seeing more people announce they have received there NOA2's, but Blues Fairy made a great point earlier, stating that those of us VJ'ers only amount to a small % of all the K-1 filers. So its really hard to truly know how many approvals April filers have chalked up without knowing how many actually filed but never stopped by the VJ to fill out a time line.

I know it's still frustrating. I told myself I would not fret until I hit the 100 day mark. And I'm trying HAHA. But as soon as I hit the 90 day point it has been harder and harder haha. All we can do is take that photo of our better halves out to remind ourselves why we are doing this. :):):):) One thing to note. If we are 4 monthers then our wait for this leg of the journey is almost done. and if not then those torrents of NOA2's should be flying through our doors soon.

Wioombeen.

I appreciate the reply Wioombeen. We are certainly in the same boat together on this one.

My comment on no April filers was not with regards to the NOA1 but as to when the application was sent in. Both DakotaK1 and JVKnCVO sent their apps in during March, not April, many here would consider them March filers. No one that actually mailed the app in April has been approved.

I agree that VJ is not everyone, however if you look at I-129f's sent in April to CSC, NSC, or TSC, not only will you see zero approvals, there is a total of 79 applications. This is certainly a large enough sample space to extrapolate. It you look at the total apps adjudicated last year, this number represents a solid percentage of total filers in a month. I don't remember the totals off the top of my head or I'd say exactly what percentage we VJers are. Now maybe some people are lagging on filing in their timeline, but still...not one. :(

I'm don't recall exactly where I learned that the service centers are being processed independently. It seemed credible at the time so I just filed it as fact. It seems to be backed up by the differences in NOA2 dates, based on NOA1 filing dates, but of course that could be for other reasons. It's not scientific, but the NOA2's at CSC that have recently been approved seem to have NOA1's a couple weeks behind NSC and TSC. Again, I maybe wrong...

I'm with you on the waiting, surely we must almost be done, even if it is four months, and that is a very positive outlook as compared to the 'wait and frustrate.' I was really hoping that I would see my girl this summer, a fact that I am sure is amplifying my frustration. I must keep reminding myself that everyday is one day closer, no more, no less.

I do appreciate the reply, thanks Wioombeen!
