Hello everyone,

My wife and I are about to send out the first package with I-130 and I just wanted to run this by the community and see if we got this right.

Contents of package:

- I-130

- Marriage Certificate

- Passport Photos (Husband and Wife)

- Affidavit support (Couples pictures, wedding pictures, letter written by a friend that witnessed our weeding and joint account)

- G-1145

- G-325 for husband and wife.

- $420 check

Am I missing anything here? Are we ready to start the process? Looking for help and advice.

Thanks,

Yoni

Who is the petitioner? You need proof that the petitioner is a USC (copy of birth certificate, passport or naturalisation certificate).

The 4th item on your list isn't the affidavit of support. I think you mean evidence of ongoing bona fide relationship. I think you need more than just some photos and an affidavit from a friend. Which country is the beneficiary from? The best evidence is evidence of lots of time spent together. How many times have you seen one another? Also, how do you communicate and how often (that was one of the first questions I was asked at interview last week!)

My wife is the petitioner and her passport copy is already in the package and item 4 is actually the bona fida (too many weird terms to keep track).

We have been together for over 2 years now and got married 5 months ago in Brooklyn. We have been living together for almost 1.5 years.
