I just wondered...am I the only one on VJ with locks?

I'm sure I'm not....so share :)

I've had mine for almost four years.

11/2004 - Met in Brazil

09/2006 - Apply for K1

03/2007 - K1 approved

04/2007 - Apply for AOS & EAD

07/2007 - EAD approved

01/2008 - Conditional Residency approved

11/2009 - Apply to remove conditions

02/2010 - Permanent Residency approved

11/2010 - Apply for Citizenship

03/2011 - Citizenship approved

07/2011 - Moved back to Brazil

No dreadlocks, but I always wear a small braid in my hair and tuck a few feathers in it.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

I maintain my dreads myself - using hair products especially for dreadlocks (shampoo). I keep them neat and clean - they're not big or messy.

I don't have them, but I like how they look on others. My FIL (rasta) has verrrrry long dreads, I have not seen them yet but I am dying to.

I love to see the really long it amazes me. *sigh* maybe when I retire to Jamaica, I'll start mine.

I'm blonde and blue eyed but my locks go well with me - or so they say. They locked up pretty quickly too - I guess because I love them :lol:

I know it does depend on your job. I got mine while I was still in college. I've had no problem with work (I'm a teacher).

I had them in High School, up to college days, but once you get into the Job Market I had to take them off, you get discriminate as lot of ignorant people associate locks with Ganga, marijuana smoking and all.

Gone but not Forgotten!
