I was looking at the processing times at the California USCIS office.

They seem to be processing the I-130’s that they received on September 13th 2006. Is this correct?

That is about 6 months ago.

At that rate it will take 12 months to get an Immigration visa.

those time frames are inaccurate. I really dont know where they get it from. They set them like that so us petitioners are not ringing their phones off the hook to inquiry in cases that go beyond the normal processing time. For example, when i was checking for my petition, they were supposedly working on april petitions and I received NOA2 in October. Good luck in your journey.

Yes, those time frames are not very accurate. Try this link to see where most of our CR-1/IR-1 cases stand. They're the most accurate time frames we have here on VJ.
