What I understand is, the petition process is not a Visa Application process. The petition is to indicate to NVC for them to get ready to release a VISA number based on a citizen petition. NVC would tell the Embassy that someone will be ready to file a VISA application. I think everyone has to do it. Did you receive packet 4? I just called up my friend with a CR1, he had to fill out the app for his wife to bring in.

First off, I would like to express my sincere appreciation for your help in this matter. It seem to me that you took the time to answer my question and I very much apprecate that.

As for this Medical Examing stuff, I do not know what to think of at this point but I will continue to do some more research until I get the answer. Anyway, I haven't tell my wife to do anything yet cause I'm not sure at this point.

There is no Cambodian support group around here. I checked everywhere in this site and found only: Japan, Viet, thai, and so on except Cambodian. Oh well... Since there is no answer in sight. I'm gonna call my wife right now and tell her just go to take the Medical Exam with the following information.

(1) Her Passport and a photocopy of biographical data page

(2) 1 Passport Photos

(3) Interview Letter

This is the Cambodian Support Group!

I made this long ago to help people out. I been through the process. Everyone who replied has this topic subscribed. If you do have any concerns about the US embassy in Phnom Penh, how the visa process works, all of us can help. No need to look elsewhere. The problem is that the Cambodians who posts elsewhere on visajourney do not know that this is their support group.

There is...? I can't seem to find any on this site.

Just dropping by to say I got Approved!!! Yeppy :dance::dance: Now, I have a question to all the people before me. Can I buy an e-ticket for my wife in Cambodia? I plan to login at www.evaair.com and buy one-way e-ticket from Cambodia to USA. Can I buy for her?

Just send money over to her and let her buy. Cheaper tickets at the Cambodian Travel Agencies across the country. Plus, you're not bounded by US laws on plane tickets. Most one way ticket can be as little as 600 dollars.
