Greetings,

Our case was sent from the NVC to the Bangkok embassy on November 30. I've been in touch with both the embassy and NVC. Neither has provided much detail other than...it's in transit. I was wondering what the average time is for a case to go from the NVC to Bangkok. Based on recent K1 timelines I've viewed, most of your cases make it within 5-8 days although some take over 2 weeks. I'm just looking to see if anyone has any insight into this stage of the process. Thanks!

Also, I was able to track the delivery of our case via DHL. It showed an arrival date of December 3. So I know the physical case is at the embassy, at least!

Hello!

It took about 3 weeks for our case to reach the embassy from NVC. It was so frustrating cause it looked like the average time was about 5 days or so. NVC said it was at the embassy; embassy said it hadn't arrived yet. Who knows were the problem was...but we worried. My personal theory is that it arrived at the embassy but they had administrative issues on their end. But once the case was logged by the embassy things happened very very quickly. So be prepared!

Well, I just got some good news! After 13 days "in transit," our case is finally READY!

We're just waiting on the police certificate for which we applied about a month ago. Hopefully we get that in short order.
