Hi all,

I'm just checking in to say that we have still received nothing from csc. I can't even count how many days that is, but it is closing in on 4mos since recieving our stuff. Meanwhile, my husband can't get a CDL because the GC has expired (he tried before it expired but it was less than 60 days from expiry) and our car insurance was asking about why he doesn't have his CDL yet...yeah, get in line DMV, we want the damn thing too. haha

I cannot fathom what is taking so long. Tim has called and they just gave him some receipt number and said he has to wait..then they quoted that they are processing some from ages before our's...still far too much time for my comfort level. They told him to hang on to his case no because that's all he has to claim that he is legal. Doesn't sound right to me, but what are you going to do...I don't know what we would do if his employer wanted proof of extension! yikes!

any word on your end, sean? paschal?other csc'ers?

Nothing for me yet either :( I went in for an InfoPass again and this time they stamped my passport for a full year (it's amazing how these things simply depend on the mood of the officer you get...). I have now shifted my efforts away from getting a receipt to trying to get a biometrics appointment out of CSC. I got my company's attorneys involved who reached out to a liaison to see what they can do. I will post if anything happens.

I really don't know what else we can do... this is a really messed up situation...

I just want to know if i still need to submit a passport photo? If yes, is it only me or both of us?Me and my husband? Please let me know... I really appreciate your reply..... thanks

No need for passport photos of either you or your husband. Once you submit the I-751 form and requirements, they'll send you a notice for a biometrics appointment where they'll take your picture and fingerprints.

PAscal,

I went to the San Jose office to get the passport stamped and they did with 1 year 551 stamp. However they did tell me that since I had filed my 751 application after the 90 day window due to divorce process, my green card was terminated. But they went ahead and stamped it since now my applicatoin is with the center, and they warned me that I would have trouble coming in -. Wha tis that suppsoe to mean? I asked them what to do at the airport, they said to show the stamp and be honest. I am totally worried here, i need to travle on the 26th for 1 month. Please advise me,

Thanks.

Pascal, that is awesome ! did they by any chance ask you where your wife was? I unfortunately in a situation where I have filed a waiver 751 and I am divorced. So I am looking to take a comic book for the secondary :) looks like I may be there for a while.. Plz share any advise you may have for me.

No they didn't ask the whereabouts of my wife. The customs agents aren't there to make a decision about your case -- they're just checking to see if your I-551 stamp is legitimate. As long as you submitted your I-751, the case is in the USCIS system, and you obtained your I-551 stamp at a local office, you should be fine.

Hi -- I actually don't have enough experience with this type of thing -- maybe someone else on the forum has been in a similar situation and could help. But as far as I know, as long as you have a stamp you're fine. I don't see why they would give you stamp and then tell you you're going to have trouble getting back into the country. Seems like fearmongering to me -- but I may be wrong...

Good luck -- I hope all goes well on your way back in.

Just thought I should call CSC Customer service to see what the hell was going on with my case. I never received anything and my case was filed on March 30th. Well.... officer told us that we should have gotten our Biometrix appointment by now and our case will never move forward if we don't go though this process and eventually our case will expire and we'll have to apply again. Shocking... huh?.... She was nice enough to go ahead and send a request so we would receive biometrix appointment. We got the confirmation number of this request and she said we should be hearing something within 30 days otherwise call back with this confirmation number. Lets see what happens.

Ok everyone here we go...

No NOA for months. Went to InfoPass and extended her greencard for few more months.... Waited waited and waited for any letter from CSC (biometrix) nothing.... We buy a house and move on 8/1/07. Ofcourse CSC sends us notice of biometrix on 8/6/07 which we received on 8/27/07. Freaked out!!!! Called CSC and changed the address (should have done before but who knew). Address got changed. Lady was nice enough and told us that everything is good and I'm sending request to re-schedule you. Did I mention that my wife was due the same date as biometrix appointment?... (had a baby boy).

So we were waiting for re-scheduled appointment and happend to call CSC again to confirm our address change. Customer service rep said that we could simply show up with an appointment letter at the biometrix center on Wednesday and they will take you without any problem. Got very excited as it was Tuesday. Then she transferred me to Immigration Officer who said the opposite. They used to do it like that if u missed an appointment but not anymore... ofcouse... :(

Took a chance and went there on wednesday anyway. They took us in without any problem. So the end result, my wife had her biometrix taken on 9/5/07.

Any comments? What are we going to do with the re-schedule appointment that they will send us? We are so confused!!! Help!!!!
