My father is petitioner for my brother's(married son and daughter of US citizen category) case which is with NVC. My father is retired and has filled out i864 and I have filled out i864A as a joint sponsor. I am facing following issues filling out AOS forms:

1. My father is retired and he has no income. He receives SS. Do I have to send his proof of retirement and SS he is receiving?

2. I am unemployed since Sept, 2016 and am receiving unemployment benefits and I have filed taxes for last 3 years. Since I am unemployed what would be my current income that I need to mention in Part 3, Item Number 2.? Or do I need to show some assets to cover unemployment part?

My income upto Sept and unemployment I am currently receiving is still enough to cover all the dependents I have on my tax returns and immigration family members. I864A guidelines say that I need to furnish my expected income for this month but it still is confusing.

3. In I864A part 3, item number 1. where it asks for last three years taxes. Do I need to send just 2015 tax IRS transcripts or for all previous three years?

4. I already sent wrong filled-out AOSs to NVC once and they sent me a letter asking me to correct the information. Do I need to send correctly filled out forms to NVC here in the US or they need to be taken to Embassy at the time of the interview by the family members?

Thanks.

hi

unless you have a great deal of assets, your income won't be counted, you are unemployed, unemployment isn't counted, and you have no current income.

the affidavit of support is to prove to the government that they won't become a public charge once they get here,

your father does have to prove where his income comes from and how much he makes a year

My another brother who also lives here with us is employed but his income is low. He might be able to cover couple of immigrating family members. Can he be added as joint sponsor and can I be added as secondary joint sponsor with the assets? So that whatever immigration family members are left that won't be covered by brother's income here, could be covered by my assets?
