Hey all

so as soon as the road is less icy I will go and mail in my I-130 etc to the Phoenix lockbox. I just have a couple of final random questions:

- the passport photos : do you attach them to the front of everything or with the documents proving relationship (since it is listed amongst them in the instructions)

- do you just clip them all together and place in a USPS express mail envelope or some other form of mail? (I have put title pages between sections and paper clipped each section together)

- can you just write a personal check (US bank account) or is it better to do a money order bank check? and do you attach that to the front with a paper clip.

Kind of simple questions but would rather sound stupid and do it correctly than think I know what I am doing... thanks all

Also

- My husband's G-325 biometrics is on european size paper, it is the only pice on longer paper, but wasn't sure if I could photocopy it since it is the original with his signature...

Thanks for any and all advice

Size of paper (European vs US) is not a problem. My documents were also on European-sized paper.

The passport photos should be clipped to the G-325A of the person in the photo. I wrote the name on the back in pencil and then put each photo into a small sandwich bag and paper-clipped the bag to the form.

USCIS wants the package to be assembled like this:

I sent ours in a red card file but when I went to the interview this was nowhere to be seen - any files or wallets you send will be removed and trashed. They have their own strict filing system.

JFH, thanks for the advice, have moved and clipped the photos.

In the link you sent me it mentions a cover letter, should I have something stating that this is a filing for I-130? and is a personal check ok??

Thanks again

Personal check is fine.

A cover letter is a good idea to mention that it's an I-130 for a spouse as the I-130 is a multi-purpose form which covers various visa categories.

JFH you are awesome, thanks so much and I am assuming I can just attach it with a paper clip straight to the front or should I put it in an envelope.... such stupid questions but seem so important

Just a paperclip to the front. Don't forget your G-1145 on top of everything including the check.
