What does your check list say?

I had a check list after case complete - several people do.

I used assets and I send them original and I followed the requirements!! I don't understand why they send me this. ??

My check list says..

Financial evidence

We reviewed the Affidavit of Support (Form I-864) and financial evidence you sent to the National Visa Center (NVC). According to the current poverty guidelines for a household of your size, the income you listed does not meet the minimum requirement to sponsor the intending immigrant(s) on this petition. If you provided NVC with proof of assets in lieu of income in order to meet the minimum income threshold, please not these assets will not be evaluated by NVC and will only be considered at the time of visa interview.

NVC will continue working on your case and will schedule a visa interview appoinment overseas. If you have not included evidence of your assets in your submission to NVC, please make sure that you bring the evidence to the interview appointment. If you do not have proof of assets to meet the minimum income requirement, we recommend that you seek a joint financial sponsor or a household member to join you in financially supporting these immigrant family members.

As what mentioned they would want proof of that asset during the interview. So it lies onthe CO assessment whether its acceptable or not. To be safe ill suggest to get a joint sponsor if they ask then you are prepared and if not then no need.

I gave them original proof documents, I am using my and my husband assets which was above requirements. I am so sad that they will ask this. As for joint sponsor I don't want to use but if I need to then I guess I will do this soon.

As the letter says, NVC doesn't assess the value of assets, the embassy does. So they are reminding you to take proof of the assets to the interview for the CO to adjudicate.

I hope they wont get lost in sending the documents to the consulate, I believe that's the reason they ask for copies and you provide original on interviews. Hope you can sort it out with them, in whatever case preparing a joint sponsor is the next best thing. All the best in your case.

Call them first and inquire what is needed. Some checklists might not require you sending it to them, but to take it with you to the embassy, especially financial proof. Call NVC or read the letter thoroughly to know what is expected.

Hi Everyone, just curious and wondering if  NVC have scheduled any interviews for Abu Dhabi consulate lately? I understand the holidays might have impacted things. I have been keeping a close watch on people waiting for appointments like me but I don't see any timeline update recently. I'm wondering if we got left behind and forgotten at NVC

I would appreciate if anyone on IR/CRI got interview for Abu Dhabi and what their CC date was. I want to predict our date through this. Thank you!

Abu Dhabi is currently it seems one of the slowest in the world it was at 7 month from CC last month - may have slowed down slightly more after Christmas...

Very shocking. I still don't understand why they're taking this long. 7 months is a long time, even if you see 100 interviewers a week.
