I just checked the application of my finance application. It said that it was approved. What happens next? How much more time before the interview with the consulate?

It's really difficult to give you a good answer because your timeline is not filled out nor do you stte what country/consulate you are going through. In general the approved K-1 petition is sent to NVC where it is processed (1-2 weeks) and then sent to the consulate you specified on the original petition. Esch conslate handles the process differntly and has their own timeline.

24 April 2009 Biometrics scheduled

...once again waiting

1 September 2009 (just over 5 months) Approved and card production ordered.

Congratulations!

Once your case is approved it is forwarded to the NVC which then takes about 2 weeks to forward it to the consulate. Once your case arrives at the consulate they will notify your fiance.

If you wish, you can contact the NVC to find out when your case is received/sent out and then contact the consulate to know when your case arrives there. The NVC will assign you a case number as well.

Congrats on the approval. Again, please fill in your timeline, as it adds to the stats and helps us answer questions. Here is the link to the Rio embassy page: http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/inde...0De%20Janereiro

First congratulations! Take a look at this http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...amp;page=k1flow. It will at least give you a timeframe but it would be best if you will go to Foreign Consulate forum and interact with others who are going through and have been through Rio consulate.

Good luck!

I recently lost my bag with all my documents in them and now I don't have any copies of my application. Is this going to be a problem? Does anyone know what I should do?

So....Once the 129f is "approved", it sits at the "NVC for a couple weeks" and then is forwarded to the apropro consulate? Does anyone know, in the case of a 129f, what goes on at the NVC?

I ask because I am curious as to if there are any other forms or fees that need be taken care of iE: Financials etc. Isn't there like a 134 or something that need be signed, notoraized and returned to the NVC...or is that presented at the interview at the consulate??

I guess the easiest question is: Once we recieve the approval....do I need to do anything else (on the USA end) or can I travel to see my SO without fear of an un-answerable letter sitting in my mailbox?

Hope I didn't thread-jack but felt my question didn't warrant it's own thread.

thanks!
