Is it beneficial to leave SOME questions regarding the future consulate interview, affidavit of support, and the like in the K1 forum, rather than moving them immediately to the Consulate Interview forum?

I kind of think it is. I know the forum is supposed to be for filing of the I129F stateside, but I'm of the opinion that some very general questions which lead the readers down the educational trail are beneficial.

Anybody have any thoughts?

But, all that information in great detail is only a click away. People should be able to navigate over there on their own.

There maybe some crosstalk between the threads initially generated in the K1 forum(s) and the Cosulate Interview forum. However, my last point of reference with the movement of threads is that a link would still remain in the forum where the mis-placed thread was placed. So the member or guest has numerous ways to gather information or get involved in a moved thread. So letting a mis-placed thread remain for the sake of leaving it, at least for a while, should not matter. If people really want to get involved or are looking for a subject, they will seek it out or ask.

JMO...

Cheers!!!

I guess just because they *should* be able to doesn't mean they do, of course...

If we started leaving a few threads in there when do you draw the line? One "mover" might think it is okay in there and leave it, another might decide that it needs to be moved. There would have to be some clear definition regarding what is enough if it was decided that this should be implemented.

Could get mighty confusing! Just my $0.02c.

It's my opinion that they should all be moved...the forums are titled aptly enough that if they could find this site, they should be able to find the proper forum. Good thought, rj, but JMO. M.

BTW, Becca...the topic moved on by the time I saw...but thanks for your anni congrats the other day...we had a nice time celebrating, and we're happy with our 2 year mark after the rough start!!! ;)

If it is a grey area then I think it could stay. If it is clearly a topic that has not relation to the current one and is much better fit in the new one then it can be moved.
