NBI only for Phillippines?

Hi all,

My finace is waiting for his interview checklist, but I've found some examples online in hopes that I could prepare a few things ahead of time. I see from several of the lists that he needs an NBI clearance if he's lived somewhere outside of his home country (England) for more than 6 months, and he has (Thailand). When I google and search about the NBI clearance, I get all this information about the Phillipines.

So, my question is, is this something that every single applicant must have for the interview or is this a region specific type thing?

If it is for EVERYONE. Does anyone know if this is achievable online or would I have to contact the police in the country in which he lived for more than 6 months?

if he sad stayed in the Phil. for 6 mos or more, after age 16, then he is required to produce a National Bureau of Investigation ( NBI ) clearance. Application will only be at the Main Office in Ermita , Manila, if it's purpose is for US visa application.

While you can apply for it online, you first need a fingerprint card where he would have his fingerprints done by your nearest police precinct or office. The instructions will answer the hows. You can read the NBI website for everything you want to know about this, ok?.

The Phil embassy can provide such card upon request.

You can send the requirements to the proper address, etc.

i am still currently at it coz the card i got months ago needs to be amended and it is getting very costly..
