I am sure if we had the MDL media and people back then, they would be telling us that the majority of Japanese people are good peace loving people and that we should not be mad at Japan for the handful that bombed Pearl Harbor

Forgive me fellow citizens and ye ol hardy folk of Chest for opening the door to this, in what was otherwise a snowflake free, respectful , thread honoring all the brave men and women that fought so bravely in WW2, In other words that does not dignify a response.

If this was merely about honoring the men and women that died on that day, I don't believe one should have brought up such a blanket statement toward all Japanese, that did not carry out that attack on that day. You can of course complain about the Japanese that took part in the acts (willing or forced), that planned the acts (the government), and became involved in WWII - but blanket statements will do nothing to honor those who were murdered on that day, nor will it be fair to those Japanese who had nothing to do with that act. It comes off as rather crass you know.

They did. There is a Ft San Pedro in Cebu. I met some old timers there, that talked to me at length about the horrors of Japans occupation, including throwing babies in the air and capturing them on Bayonets
