Hi im from philippines, i used to live in UAE for about 8 months, it says that i need to get police clearance, but when i check the travel.state.gov website in US... it says I can only get one if im currently residing in UAE. it says....

Not available by mail. Post recommends that consular officers waive the general requirement to obtain police certificates unless the applicant lives in the UAE.

but there are some that are saying i still need to get one and it depends on the interviewer.. please help me, my interview is on dec.20

im so depressed now... please help me

You dont need UAE PCC since they wont give you unless you are physically there. So PCC from UAE is waived, No need to be depress over it.

thanks ervie and rob. im just confused because some are saying i still need one, reason why im so depressed is because one of the company in UAE screwed up our Visa's they hired us not knowing they cannot provide us a Visa. they just used us, because of that,i cant get one even if im there..

im pregnant and hoping that my baby and I will be with my fiance soon.. this is my only chance.. if they will still ask for Police clearance i guess theres no way for me be with my fiance ??

thats y im so depressed

Oh you got to calm down its not good for the baby though your emotions as well is brought by hormones. The thing is I worked from Qatar and unlike UAE it is a requirement and has a means of getting it as stated in US Travel website. UAE it was specified clearly you wont get it unless you are there physically. And dont want to put your hopes high but I am sure if things dont work out with the visa your fiance will find his way to be with you both.

God willing you would be together soon. Its late so get some rest..
