06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Is there anyone here from the Memphis TN Fiel office? I've been stuck in line for an interview for over a month now. Can anyone share their timeline?

I don't know what your timeline is but I applied in July, did my bio in August, and just in late November they came back to me with another request for bio. So right now I don't even know where my case stands anymore. I haven't even been notify that I'm line for an interview. Seems like it's taking a long time. Good luck!

October 2010 - Met during a business trip in Berlin, Germany

March 2012 - We're engaged, yay!

28 Jul 2012 - Married in Maryville, TN
13 Sep 2012 - Moved to Bonn, Germany
18 Apr 2013 - I-130 filed
29 Apr 2013 - Notice of receipt (NOA1)
22 Jun 2013 - Received NOA2 (Packet 3)

1 Jul 2013 - Packet 3 sent
5 Jul 2013 - Packet 3 processed in Frankfurt
8 Jul 2013 - Medical examination in Dortmund

14 Aug 2013 - Interview in Frankfurt - APPROVED!!!

16 Aug 2013 - My passport arrives home

19 Aug 2013 - Returning the passport and the whole visa packet to the Consulate due to a mistake on the Summary Page

26 Aug 2013 - Received again all the documents, this time everything's correct

20 Oct 2013 - POE: Atlanta

30 Oct 2013 - Received SSN

20 Nov 2013 - Received Green Card

23 Sep 2014 - *Our daughter Sofia is born!*

I don't know what your timeline is but I applied in July, did my bio in August, and just in late November they came back to me with another request for bio. So right now I don't even know where my case stands anymore. I haven't even been notify that I'm line for an interview. Seems like it's taking a long time. Good luck!

Hey!! I'm so happy to finally "know" someone from the same Field Office. I filed in September and got Bio done in Mid October and a few days after got put "in line" but ever since I've been waiting. Did they say why you had to do another bio apt? Are you a military filler?

I'm a Nov Memphis filer. I am still in line for interview from January. I think we have a way to go as the USCIS page has this info: 

 

Field Office Processing Dates for Memphis TN as of: January 31, 2017
Form Form Name Processing Cases As Of Date:
I-485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status June 28, 2016
N-400 Application for Naturalization May 12, 2016

 

So as you can see if they are processing cases from 5/12 on 1/31/2017 then they are ~ 264 days out. Hopefully things improve but we just have to wait and see

Here is Memphis' activity for the last couple of months... lots of progress (or getting caught up) on the N-600 applications.  Maybe they will start directing that energy towards the N-400 applications. ;)

Oh wow. I need to be more patient. I just filed my application last month and only been in line for 11 days. I heard that Nashville is getting it's own field office? If that's true, that would be awesome.

Yes I've heard about the Nashville Office, which will be good for all as I think one of the issues with Memphis is its for all of TN, and for parts of Arkansas and Mississippi, so once teh Nashville office is opened the caseload will be divided up and makes things easy. Looks like its due to open in the Summer, you may be one of the first few persons to be there.

That's exciting! That would be convenient too since I'm only an hour and a half away from Nashville.

It'll be a lot nicer for those of us on the eastern end of the state.  Memphis is a 7-9 hour drive. (491 miles from Bristol, TN to Memphis) 

It is ridiculous because there are 8 field offices that are closer to my house than Memphis....

Oh, that sucks! I guess it's because you live in Tennessee so you'll have to go to a Tennessee field office, but I totally understand your frustration.

November 8th, 2016 so 280 days puts me at late August, lol hopefully it picks up soon
