I think you can get some really good bargains on Ebay. I have bought/sold over 600 items since I joined in 2001. I've heard some people on VJ have got good deals on wedding dresses. Anyone got good deals on anything else? Or sold something for a profit?

I bought a BBQ pit that was in mint condition off ebay for 50 bucks (and most of that was the delivery charge). It was the one I wanted and cost over 200 brand new.

Love eBay...have bought off of there several times...books by my fave authors each time. I always find a seller who has several I want and combines shipping and I get quite a deal! :) M.

For the most part ebay is great if you're a buyer, the only problems I've had are when I've sold stuff. Ebay seems to change their seller rules (and the look of the seller pages) on a frequent basis, which is irritating as it becomes fairly difficult to navigate around the site, and you can never get used to where

anything is.

Add to that - their customer service for anything other than (buyer/seller disputes) is non-existent and consists of form emails that don't answer your question. My account got suspended briefly during 2005 because of some unpaid seller fees - when I transferred my UK account to the US it apparently created two separate seller accounts. Unbeknownst to me, logging in to ebay.com actually logged me into my UK seller account and incurred a 1.50gbp charge for seller fees. Problem was when I tried to pay it - the website wouldn't physically allow me to do it as it kept defaulting to my US seller account which said I owed nothing (even when I logged into ebay.co.uk. Eventually - they sent a collections letter for the unpaid fees (after I had been emailing them for over a month explaining what was wrong with no success) and had to have my dad in the UK send them a cheque to pay it. Otherwise my UK credit would have been ruined over a quid fifty...

Ebay is great, sometimes the deals aren't that good after inflated shipping rates,

I buy all my Tennis racquets & balls on E-bay

I also Sell occasionaly Inline Skates through E-bay.

I like Craigslist also, no charges to post or sell items. Craigslist is great for local

things.

I love ebay.. I've bought a lot of stuff at a good deal (including car parts for our older car.) And at my last job, they had me list and sell a bunch of stuff for them too, so i've gotten paid for it.. lol its a pretty good site..
