hey guys, how are you'll doing? Once Again SORRY...Which Affidavite and Support Form is need at the US Consulate in India if she is coming here on FIANCE VISA(Non-Immigrant Visa)? I-134 or I-864? Also, if i am in India during her Interview Date, Will i be able to go in the Consulate as her Interpreter/Translator? Because I'm her future husband. Please Help.

2-14-2006: I-129F Mailed Express

2-16-2006: TSC recieved it and signed

2-24-2006: NOA 1 recieved

2-27-2006: Check Cashed

5-01-2006: CASE APPROVED!!!!!! NOA2 by E-mail.

5-06-2006: NOA2 by Mail!!!!!!!

5-17-2006: NVC Recieved The Case!!!

5-19-2006: Left The NVC And Was Sent To Consulate..Mumbai, India!!!!!

8-21-2006: GOT THE VISA! YAY!

8-31-2006: Enters in USA..POE in Chicago, IL

9-25-2006: Getting Married!! WOOOHOOO!!

AOS JOURNEY:

10-12-2006: I-485 Filed

10-18-2006: NOA 1 Recieved

11-04-2006: Biometric Interview

11-06-2006: Case Transferred to CSC

11-09-2006: CSC Recieved the Case

12-07-2006: Registered to be Approved..

12-13-2006: APPROVED....WITHOUT the Interview!!! WOOHOOO!!!!

Hi!

The I-134 is required at the interview for the K1 visa. You are definately permitted to go with your fiance to the interview - it is a great idea!! It provides further proof of your relationship!

I would check with others going through India. Whilst the I-134 is the usual affidavit of support used for K visa and the FAM states that I-864 must not be used for K visas, there are consulates that do and India appears to be one of them. There has been member posts regarding this and it is also mentioned in VJ Embassy Info. You will need to check whether this applies to K-1 visas as well as the K-3's mentioned.

There should be plenty of people there speaking her language so you wouldn't be needed as an "interpreter" per say, but most consulates do allow the fiance to be there. You should email or call them to be sure.

Is your fiance going to Mumbai for interview? You should check out below website and call them up to find out if you are premitted to go to interview with your fiance.

From what I heard, there are translators if she can't speak english but you should verify that.

I dont think so they would accept u as a interpreter cause ur the petitioner,but u can be there with ur wife and the CO's in india can speak other langauge, like when i went in for my K3 visa in Chennai i saw a CO speaking Malayalam and i was shocked.
