Hi all, my husband and I recently mailed our I-130 petition to bring me into the US. We have gotten our NOA1 and the wait for NOA2 has began.

When we filled the I-130 form on number 22 "If your relative is not eligible for adjustment of status, he or she will apply for a visa abroad at the American consular post in: " we put down PANAMA as that is the country where we both currently lived in. He is a dual citizen of Panama and the US and I am a Peruvian citizen residing in Panama with a work visa. However, after sending our petition I quit my job and lost my panama residency. I am now here as a tourist.

I am guessing the US embassy in Panama will no longer be able interview me and give me a visa and I must do it in Peru, correct?

How should we go about a change of address for me, the beneficiary? Should we do it now while we are at the USCIS stage or wait for our NOA2 and do it with NVC?

PS. I must add we got married here in PANAMA.

TIA

Hello,

I noticed your post and I'd like to know what happended or how are you going to do it since I'll be on a similar position, My Panamenian permit will expire on July and I dont believe I will be able to renew it because it's going to cost me a lot of money that I don't have right now plus I'll be moving to live with my husband next year once this process it's ready. I have a confuion about what to do, we put Panama Embassy on our I-130, but I'm  Venezuelan.

I'm currently waiting for NOA2.

PD: April 19th.

Thanks a lot in advance.
