AOS December 2016 Filers (merged)

If it makes you feel better, I'm at day 111 with no RFE either.

For perspective, take the digits from your receipt number MSC17904,,,,,, and subtract 100,000 cases i.e) so that it becomes MSC17903... and look up cases around this # and you will find I-765 similar to your case, even more worse, they were also received in December & earlier too. So yeah, per Ileaka,  9-18 months processing time wont be incredible at this rate. 

and until the NBC processing time for EAd/Ap on USCIS website updates from Nov 29, 2016 PD to include your PD, You really don't have a case with USCIS. Your only route will be to expedite request.

 

The good part is your PD doesn't matter, someone with a PD of Dec 31 can be approved today... even with those with Dec 12 PD still waiting..

Yes, It is.. for my mom. I've been done with naturalization since 2015.

My AOS took 3 months in 2012. these days my local office is the slowest in the whole country (taking about a year)... just incredible

Ok... makes sense

But i think AOS through marriage is processed separately (which a lot of us here are) compared to AOS through children like don't think they are part of the same pile.

right but for EAD/AP based on I-485 they are all processed at NBC if i'm not mistakenly. so we are looking at similar processing times. I meann, there are November filers with no EAD yet.

 

By the way, Per reference to Ileaka in my earlier posts, I meant USCIS could probably start changing tunes to 90-180 days and not 9-18 months for EAD approval.

I was wondering if anyone after they got their EAD card applied for a SS number, and if so, how long did it take to receive your SS card in the mail?

According to the Ssn website , it takes about 10 business days to receive a new Ssn card. You can mail or apply in person for one.

 

@ClassyBee I was told 90 to 180 days for Eads. Not 9-18 months. Not sure what was understood ??! Maybe I'm the sleepy one, not understanding you.🤔🤔😂

I am on day 103 and still no news of my EAD/AP. No RFE,  They closed my SR with usual response.

I think they say the average time is about 2 weeks or so?  You did it with your EAD card?

Yes I went to apply with my combo card, passport and mariage certificate.

they gave me a receipt with a reference number saying it could take to 4 weeks since that I called maybe twice a week to see if it was processed because USCIS have to approved it first...

I had a job interview 10 days ago and the training was supposed to start yesterday but couldnt attend it with my SSN .

It depends on the local office where your AOS file is being reviewed. You can check the processing time on the USCIS website

Thank you, am in california and my receipt number start with MSC which one of this should I check on am not too sure about this.
