Hi guys,

I have been watching this topic. We applied in Dec. Its about 99 days and no response on EAD yet. Would someone here please be able to advise what the process of filing a service request for checking EAD status and what is the number to call to speak to a Tier 2 officer?

Also any opinions around which method is better would help as well.

Thanks

We got an RFIE on our I-485.

We received EAD/AP combo card in 108 days.  Some who did not get any RFE or RFIE waited that long too. There has been all that talk about how RFIE reset the clock and RFEs restart the clock.  Personally, I don't believe there is any rhyme or reason to that.  USCIS will give that out as an excuse, but honestly, I think it just all depends on the adjudicator.

https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard/CaseStatus/BucketDescriptions.do

Thank you so much ? for the info.I was very confused after talking to that lady.

"Just wait 9 months and if you don't hear back then, try calling"

Sometimes I feel like bc they hear an accent / know you're an immigrant, they think you know 000 about laws and immigration in this country and just say anything they want.It gets so frustrating.

You can submit service request by caling customer service line or submitting the details online on USCIS.gov

However, Per conversation with Tier II officer, The NBC processing times for the i-765 appears to have been updated to 3-4 months , if that holds true, then you will not be able to submit a SR so I will be waiting for your post on how this went.

The good thing is NBC is processing  as at Nov 29,2016, So by next update it should include most of us

To speak with a tier II officer, You will first speak with customer service and request transfer to tier II. You need to call before noon to get through most times though.

Hi @rask12345 ,

The customer service # is 18003755283 . You can create a service request via phone or online , just look for "submit an inquiry" at the bottom of the case tracker page.

To speak to a tier 2, once you reach customer service on the phone, ask to be transferred to a tier 2 officer. They will verify your identity/ purpose of the call and then transfer you . Due to high volume calls, you most likely will have to schedule a call back . They usually call me back within 2-3 hours at the most.

Also - when i go to this page - https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayONPTForm.do?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=onpt

I dont see an option for I765 in the dropdown. Do i need to select I485 instead even though I want to enquire about EAD

I was told the applicant needs to be the one calling. Meaning your wife.

I thought I was the only one not able to click 765 due to my account . Then you'd have to call and see about that.

Thank you! That's why I posted here, to give people some hope! I was so sad that I had no updates, when in fact it's probably just a lack of communication on their side.

Thank you, I checked my NOA, it has both application receipt numbers, so that's good.

It's always so good to hear people news and that cases are moving forward. I hope you get your date soon.

If you have an Uscis  account, it should show up there. Just check the status of the 765 and it should be all the way down there.

so today i recieved my i-797 approval notices for i-765 and i-131 both which were approved on March 16, they do mention that i would be getting the EAD and AP document seperately which obviously is the combo card.

The peculiar thing about this was that both the notices were in OPEN envelops, like nobody bothered to close it, they could have simply slid out, i do know its a federal crime to take somebody's mail, but still what if they would have slipped out during this whole mailing process through USCIS.

Makes me wonder that its no surprise that so many documents including EAD cards and Green Cards get misplaced or never reach the recipient :(

ROC Timeline

June 15, 2020: Sent package through USPS

July 20, 2020 : Official fingerprint taken notice dated July 15 was received

Hi Sebastian,

Did you speak to a Tier 2 officer after raising a SR. What was the process of reaching a Tier 2 officer?

Thanks
