You can apply for free as long as you have a pending i-485. So go for it. 

 

Since your EAD is already approved I think you will only get a regular paper document that is signed and has your picture on it. It won't be a card.

It all depends on the state your in. I know for NYC it takes 9 months to a year for you to be interviewed

Does anybody know the time zone for the USCIS customer service?  Are they in Missouri? They told me the hours are 8am to 6pm, but wouldn't tell me the time zone! :wacko:

So Today I got a letter in the mail saying that my work authorization has been approved and it's valid from March 14,2017 to March 13,2018. I haven't received the actual card as yet waiting for my status online to say that it's been mailed.

▪12/19/2016: AOS & EAD/AP mailed. (Day 00)

▪12/21/2016: Package signed for at Chicago Lockbox. (Day 02)

▪01/06/2017: Text/Email notification of acceptance confirmation from USCIS. (Day 18)

▪01/10/2017: Physical mail NOA received. (Day 22)

▪01/21/2017: Received Biometrics Appointment via mail (Bio. Appointment 01/30/2017). (Day 33)

▪03/01/2017: EAD/AP approved/sent for production. (Day 70)

▪03/06/2017: Received approval receipts by mail for both EAD & AP. (Day 75)

▪03/08/2017: Received EAD/AP combo card. (Day 77)

▪11/25/2017: Received Green card in mail. (Day 339)

Case still not updated yet !! I'm  getting anxious.Day 88 here ( time taken by the RFIE left out ). How long does it freaking take to confirm reception of a RFIE response ???!' ???

This past Thursday morning (11 am) , am actually at day 90 today (98 total with rfie hold).

So in typical weird things which happen with USCIS, my case status changed from "New Card is being produced" to "Case Approved" today, also it updated the i131 also to approved, which was earlier not updated. 

 

I think it is usually the other way round Case approved to New Card is being produced, i dont think it matters much but just thought would bring it to others notice

ROC Timeline

 

June 15, 2020: Sent package through USPS

June 18, 2020: Delivered to Arizona PO box

June 23, 2020: Credit Card Debited

June 24, 2020: E notification for case (LIN-Receipt) 

July  15, 2020: Case was updated to show that fingerprints were taken

July 16, 2020 : Official NOA letter dated July 1 was received  

July 20, 2020 : Official fingerprint taken notice dated July 15 was received

March 05, 2021: Status updated to "Card in Production"

March 06, 2021: Status updated to I-751 Approved
