Questions is why all of a sudden MN local office is so backlogged when it has always serviced all these other states? Besides, It used to be well below the national average in processing times up until 2015 ish?

May be also due to the fact it is has a large settlement of Liberia immigrants/refugees, Somali mostly refugees and Far East Asia refugees (mostly Hmong from  Vietnam war et al)

All of a sudden Trump is Prez and folks who have been here for 30 years or more realized... oh sh*t, I need to apply for my citizenship ASAP :)

Well truth is nobody knows what is the real reason, refugees might be a reason yes but they don't file for AOS, they get TPS which is a totally different animal.

Also it can't be the new president factor because it has been at 9-12 months speed rate since the end of 2015.

Hey guys just a quick update.

My I485 still reads "fingerprint fee received." My PD is 12/15/2016.

This morning I spoke to a tier 2 immigration officer who confirmed that my case as actually moved to "Ready to be Scheduled for Interview" as of 1/27/2017.

I also raised a SR for my EAD two weeks ago and got a generic response. However, he said that I should receive it very soon. (Taken with a grain of salt).

Hopefully you get your EAD soon. I'm also stuck on fingerprint fee received. Pd 12/20. Hopefully it's ready to schedule and just not updated.

Do you remember some of those people ? My response was delivered yesterday and I'm trying to figure out how long it take so to update/ process and approve etc...

I don't remember who was the person exactly here at VJ. But I do know of a person who has the same PD as mine, had a RFE, responded to it, and now is on ready for an interview. So... maybe RFE can be good if you respond to it timely. It might get the officers attention to look back at your case.

I see . I hope so . I've sent it back in less than 3 business days ( after receiving the letter) so we shall see.No update yet .
