The original e-request has not been touched according to MyUSCIS, and the original date to expect a response on that was February 28th, but we've spoken to them on the phone and they're telling us different dates. I'd considered the post office, but haven't contacted them yet. Did you contact a congressman from your state congress, or national?

From my post office experience, I would say it's most likely them. I've had lost papers/ mail more than once but anyhow, Uscis should still be able to send you a new RFIE.

http://www.house.gov/representatives/find/

Use this link to find your local congressman. They should have their own website and from there, you can fill and print out a form that you need to send them ( it should tell you which office to send it to). I recommend calling their office and ask if they accept walk ins ( one again , my mail never made it to them and I live 15 blocks away).

Also , if the date you was given via email has passed , you can try submitting a new e request. If anything, the website will shut you down if the date hasn't passed yet.

Will give the post office a try this week, thanks for the suggestion! It's nice to have another couple things to feel like we can actually 'do', since so much of this process is sitting and waiting.

Once again, I recommend going in person with your id, proof of address and the address Uscis mailed it from .( to your local post office that delivers your mail).

Good luck and keep us updated , this sounds like a terrible situation. ?

I got a question for those who already received their EAD. How many days did you receive your ead card after you saw online that ead is produced/mailed?

Question here:

My 485 is still stuck in "firger print fees

Received". Bio done on 2/10.  Can I raise a SR or Infopass to inquire what's going on with it?

I see from the app that most people with similar receipt numbers have had their status changed.

Thank you, guys!

Have you called uscis about it ? Did they give you any info ?

When I had called about my case, they were able to tell me the processing time for my local office and an estimate as to when you should be processed.

I did. And they said it's within processing time. But they are not really looking at my case, it's just a generic answer. I'm afraid my case is collecting dust somewhere. It's been way more than 60 days since I last had an update.

I485 can take a while. I'm in NYC and I still have 4-5 months as of yesterday to expect an interview. So depends on your office.Whats their processing date right now ?

Thank you, guys!

My wife is a November filer, and also still stuck on "finger print fees".  Some of the Nov. Filers have changed to "ready to schedule", and others have been approved without interview. I am thinking that if it still says "finger print fees", that the case is still at NBC, and may be approved without interview.

Most persons in this thread are filing from other visas and not K1. So being approved without an interview is not possible. (I stand to be corrected though)

You think we will get interview by 5 months? I was giving a timeline for December or so cause my fren in NYC filed in August and hasn't received interview date or anything yet. All she has gotten is ead

My mistake. I just clicked on unread content and saw a thread labeled "AOS December 2016 Filers", and just assumed it was the family based AOS.

I was told I had about 4-5 months left for my i485 based on my local office ( I'm in Queens, nyc). Of course, with Uscis you never know.My friend who filed in October last year got hers in 5 months ( she lives in Brooklyn and used a VERY EXPENSIVE lawyer). So you never know.
