Help guys.. how do i correct a mispelled name on i-485? Thanks for anyone who would respond.. ?

Put in a service request to correct a typographical error. I would call but there is also the e-request option... it has the typographical error as an option in the menu.

Just got off the phone with a very very nice tier 2 officer. About my 2nd RFE which I assume will be about I come
Here's what she said for those interested
- if 2016 is income, taxes filed she said it's good to go
- even if 2015 income isn't enough, if 2015 is enough then it's fine
-no assets or joint sponsor required
- it won't hold up the RFE processing time.

I had the same thing happen. 2015 taxes weren't enough but we sent them 6 months of paystubs from my husbands new job, luckily with the new taxes filed the new tax return was enough and was told the same thing when we called. We were relieved. I'm glad you got that result.

Yes, we sent the 2016 return when we got the RFIE. The RFIE asked for the most recent tax return and a joint sponsor/assets. So considering the new tax return was enough income, I also called to check that it would be fine to just send the new tax return (assets or a sponsor weren't possible for us) and was told yes. I don't think we're the only ones considering the time we filed and that it was tax return time when they were sending the RFIE's. It seems logical to me that if the new tax return is enough to meet poverty guidelines- then fingers crossed no more issues there. My husband purposefully had to get a new job to meet the income requirements.

I'm presuming you just sent the 2016 tax return and not sponsor/assets?

I'll send the 2016 return which shows way more income than 2015. That's what the lady on the phone told me so hopefully they will finally see that my husband makes enough money to support us. We could get a joint sponsor but I don't see why since he makes way more than the guidelines in 2016 and beyond.

Thank you so much for your quick response.

No she didn't and I don't think they have access to that kind of info. I think the call center is separate from the NBC. So I'm just waiting patiently
