How did you receive that update about a RFE? Because when I received a request for more evidence it was not updated on my USCIS case status as Request for evidence was mailed or anything like that. I just received it in the mail.

▪12/21/2016: Package signed for at Chicago Lockbox. (Day 02)

▪01/06/2017: Text/Email notification of acceptance confirmation from USCIS. (Day 18)

▪01/10/2017: Physical mail NOA received. (Day 22)

▪01/21/2017: Received Biometrics Appointment via mail (Bio. Appointment 01/30/2017). (Day 33)

▪03/01/2017: EAD/AP approved/sent for production. (Day 70)

▪03/06/2017: Received approval receipts by mail for both EAD & AP. (Day 75)

▪03/08/2017: Received EAD/AP combo card. (Day 77)

▪11/25/2017: Received Green card in mail. (Day 339)

I think sometimes they forget to update the online status.

So my status got updated under the i485 . It now says : " Request  for Initial Evidence was mailed " .

Apparently, they mailed it on the 7th ( march) so hopefully I should get it soon enough.

Would a RFIE fit with me not sending the 2015 tax return ? I hope that is all that's missing.For those who had a RFIE , could you tell me more about your experience? How did it affect your case and its processing??

 

@Mthldou I can't believe they're sending you another one. I hope it won't delay you too long. This is very frustrating .

They probably want evidence for the expedite request.

True point about forgetting to update, but based on my research and what happened to me, the most frequent thing that is done when an expedite needs additional evidence, is that online you'll see your request to have your case expedited was assigned to an officer, then we sent a response to have your case expedited then lastly your request to have your case expedited has been completed.

 

In most scenarios, they would either send an email or mail requesting for additional info to be faxed at a specific number with an attn details. But I am yet to see the additional info being called an rfe.

 

But we know all cases are different, so we'll have to wait and see.

Hi Guys hope all is well. I got my EAD in the mail today with the AP combo. 

 

Looks like some some of you are moving along and finally getting updates too. Now comes the long wait for the interview. @sebastianshaw Do you know of any other Minnesotans who have recently applied for AOS with a complete timeline? The processing times on USCIS seem to have slowed even more for us in St. Paul. The most recent I could find was a forum with some people indicating a 6-7 month wait till they got the interview.

 

I really want to travel home I haven't seen family in over two years, but I'm terrified to do so on AP incase of any issues when I come back in:/

F(1) Student on OPT doing AOS

12/05/2016 --> Package sent to Chicago lockbox

12/07/2016 --> Package Delivered

12/15/2016 --> Checks Cashed!

 PS/ Is anyone know when the status will change to My Case is scheduled for interview or I will just get a notification in the mail stating the date of the interview?
