Who told you the infomation that Santa Ana local office is very up to date? That really raises me up a little bit. Lol.

did they really tell you where and when they are processing their petiotitions? Can you call again to see where they are working on right now? That seems they jump like a frog ? in processing cases at their office. Cases of 2 months in 2 weeks!

It was the Tier 2 staff who told me. Two tier staff told me on two separate occasions. One said they were working oj April 2016. Two weeks after, the next one said they jumped off from April 2016 to August 2016.

 

During that time, I was really anxious as my status for I-765 and I-485 were left unchanged. When she told me it jumped to 2016, my heart suddenly got uplifted. So I kinda just relaxed myself and a few days after that, my EAD got approved and my I-485 was changed saying "Ready for Interview". 

 

I was skeptical about the jump in processing times before. But when my status changed, i suddenly became a believer. Lol

 

I just don't know if it goes with those who got RFE. I also expected one before and asked the Tier 2 officer about it. She said it won't affect the timeline that much just as long as the applicant submits the needed info on time. She said if the answer is delayed by a month, the petition is also delayed by a month.

 

I do not rely on the posted priority dates. Whenever I have something to ask, I directly talk to a Tier 2 Officer. That works for me, I just don't have much idea with the rest. It's better to try calling them and get a tiny piece of info than to sulk in one corner and make your head ache with unanswered questions. ?

or is the 75 days from Receipt date and not notice date?

For all of those with Ead pending at the National Benefits Center , they are processing OCTOBER 29th !! ????

Just got off the phone with a tier 2 officer. 

I'm torn between shock laugh & crying.

Isn't safe to say that the tier 2 officer is quoting from the website that shows the same info as of December 31st.

I asked her twice , I said is it the official timeline or what ? She said no , as of today they are still processing Priority Dates around October 29th. 

Just checked the November forum though , people are getting their Eads .

Ohh okay I see, and I also check both October and November as well, and updates are rolling in for November especially. I believe that we'll see more progress for earlier December filers in March.

Yes, that's true.I see a lot of people who did their bio the first week of January getting their Eads ( very variable priority dates though , October/November). So we end up with people who have waited 102 days while others waited 84.

i will tell you this, USCIS phone officers, Tier 1 /2 whatever basically will give you mechanical answers. @sausa already got his EAD processed and his PD was Dec 7, maybe he is an outlier. 

 

The overall average is getting the EAD/AP issued in the 95-100 day bracket. So lets hope and not lose our minds over it.

That's reassuring, I thought she was even joking for a minute. 

 

Not losing my mind though. I'm off work for a whole month soon and would really be able to start taking driving lessons + travel to California. I'd like to buy the ticket while it's still cheap enough.Hence me trying to get a more accurate timeline.

I feel sorry for those who haven't got their EAD up until now. 

 

I just dunno about how NBC process EAD's and AP's but I got mine on the 67th day starting from the time I submitted my case.

 

If it's true that they are still processing October filers, I can say that my case didn't fall on that category.

 

Remember that there are lots of factors for the determination of their approval such as inter-agency background checks and RFE's.

Thankfully my F1 work permit OPT is valid till June and i have not had to stop working, otherwise i would go full cuckoo by this wait.

Kindly update your signature or your timeline? when did u file ? was it concurrent filing ? what visa status were you on ? which country are you from. Also update your profile, it helps to put things in perspective

I feel you ?, if I wasn't working I'd go Nuts. I am having a long weekend (starting back tomorrow) and all I've done is calculate timelines ?.

 Thank god , most of us are past the 75 day mark, it's almost over Ead wise.
