Do you guys know what 'Ready to schedule for interview' actually means? Is it when they get done with it at the service center, or when they receive it at the field office and all background checks are done? Just curious. Thanks.

I really think it means nothing some people status didnt change till they got the EAD AP combo card produced so....

Waiting for an update soon too !

I actually just called uscis ( was scared I may have missed a Rfe) the lady I spoke to told me I had no rfe pending , case going smoothly and that I should get an update by Monday. If I don't, then I should call them back on Monday to get one.

Not sure if their customer service is 100% accurate but I hope so.

Since we almost have the same timeline, i will try to follow up on monday too. I will update here.

I guess it doesn't hurt. She was surprised I hadn't received any Ead update yet since  I've done my bio more than a month ago. While it doesn't mean anything, I am hoping for a positive outcome soon.

Good luck !!

They've received my RFE response on the 3rd and still nothing. How do I even know if they're even working on the case again?

From what I've researched, your (our) next update will  be 'ready to be scheduled for interview.' Which means our field office has received our file, determined everything was ok and put us in the line for interview. After NBC received the RFE response, it was waiting in the pile with other responses, then scanned as 'received,' went to the officer's shelf, he/she reviewed it, continued working on our case. If no other RFEs, he/she put it in the line with completed cases to ship out to field offices. They mail it to our office, there it sits again before they review it. They finish the checks and put in the line for interview. The timeline varies office from office. If your office is busy, it can take weeks/months to get to this stage.

Out of interest so I can compare timelines properly. How many of you guys and girls got an attorney to file and how many filed themselves?

I'm wondering if there's any correlation in timing or if you got an Rfe or not.

I used an attorney and we filed on 12/22, so far biometrics complete and NOA1's received. Waiting any day now for the EAD and attorney keeps saying he expects it any day.

My mail man is about to ask my wife to put me on a leash because I'm worse than the dog for meeting him at the mailbox each day. ??

Hey there, I filed dec 21st with bio done and no rfe/rfie to date. We actually did it ourselves, never used an attorney. I actually think getting it any day now would be good, but based on different threads and earlier filers of december, I don't think the 20's like us will receive an update soon. Besides I'm at day 64 and an average of filers from oct and nov are receiving an update on ead after their 90th day of filing. Plusssss I believe a lot of persons sent in cases before dec 23rd so there could be a backlog.

AOS/EAD&AP Timeline

▪01/10/2017: Physical mail NOA received. (Day 22)

Hello everyone,

I've been reading posts from here for quite sometime now...

I entered as a K1 Visa but our lawyer messed up the process with some unnecessary filing which also caused our pockets $420

Here it goes:

Dec 3 - sent AOS package through a lawyer (I-485 / I-765 / I-130)
Dec 6 - USCIS received the package
Dec 9 - USCIS received I-765 and I-130 (didn't file I-131) as of website
Dec 16 - USCIS received I-485 as of website
Dec 18 - received all three NOA's via mailbox
Dec 22 - USCIS cashed the checks and same day updated the online status for I-485 as fingerprint fee received
Dec 28 - received letter from mailbox for biometrics appointment for 11 January 2017
Jan 11 - had my biometrics done at Santa Ana, CA office and same day called USCIS hotline to inquire about the I-130 being unnecessary
Jan 13 - online status for I-130 was changed to I-130 initiating refund request
Jan 16 - received a mail from USCIS about refund request
Jan 26 - mailed our response to USCIS if they can grant the refund and withdraw the I-130
Jan 31 - USCIS changed the online status for I-130 as withdrawn
Feb 15 - USCIS changed the online status for I-765 as card being produced
Feb 21 - received letter from USCIS about EAD approved via mailbox
Feb 22 - USCIS changed online status for I-765 as card being mailed
Feb 23 - USCIS changed online status for I-485 as interview being scheduled

Right now, we do not rely on our lawyer for updates. We always get to do it on our own. Btw, we failed to include our DS3025 in the packet. Thank God, through our prayers, no RFIE/RFE for this.

I was really expecting one though but He is amazing..

I am thrilled to receive my EAD hopefully this week in God's grace..

Just keep on trusting the Lord and He will fight your battles.. Don't lose hope.

I will keep you all posted... ???

I feel like the parts up until now, the RFIE and Biometrics all came faster than was expecting, now it's a longer wait maybe.

Does anyone know if we hear anything to confirm our biometrics have been received shortly after getting fingerprinted, or is that a longer wait too?
