Hey Guys another update! My I-485 receipt now shows.

"As of January 27, 2017, we are ready to schedule your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSCxxxxxxxxx, for an interview. We will schedule your interview and send you a notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address. "

I guess that means everything was ok with my packet and the backround check has been cleared? Also what should I expect with the I-130 status ? Does that update or not? Pretty exicited Atleast to see it change but I guess it's not going to move for a while now till the interview:(

Yes u r right, I don't know how to do it while still having my old timeline so I just created another profile...sry for the confusion.

My CURRENT timeline is as follow;

Aos submitted 11/30/2016

Usps delivered 12/01/2016

Uscis received date 12/02/2016

E-notification 12/14/2016

noa1 received 12/19/2016

Biometric noa 12/31/2016 for 01/11/2016

RFE dated 12/29/2016

Biometrics completed 01/11/2017

RFIE response sent 01/21/2017

USPS delivered (reg. mail) 01/24/2017

I765 status update RFIE received 01/27/2017.

@freshgreengrass from my experience that gets updated to approved after the interview and is approved simultaneously with the i485. However, if the form i130 wasn't filed concurrently with the I485 then it can take 4-9 months to be approved and your status updated. For my current filing I filed my i130 separately (last January) and it got approved in June. My priority date has passed but that's fine as my AOS was filed within the 12 months from wen the i130 was approved. I hope that was somewhat helpful to anyone who had any questions regarding filing your forms separately.

I'm happy to share with you guys that we have just received my biometrics letter in the mail. Yayyy!

They sent me to an application support center one hour away from us, and there are other two at 30 minutes from the house. Oh well, more importantly, I've got the  appointment! ??

Got my biometrics notice today as well, for 2/8/17. I'm working that day, is it recommended that I just do a walk in the day before which is my day off?

Have you tried calling the office itself and see if they allow walk ins ??

I was going to do a walk in but they had so many people they couldn't take walkins.

Congratulations. At least your application is moving forward and not getting stuck like others who have started to get RFE/RFIE's. Also its interesting that they did not send you a RFE for not sending them a I-693, i guess they assume you would bring it to the interview.

Congrats again and best of luck for the wait.

Thanks ! They did send me a letter and I got it on Friday , the same day the status changed, but I don't think it's considered an RFE it was just a notice from them telling me to bring the medical in to the interview. It said in big bold letters "DO NOT MAIL FORM I-693". Hopefully yours changes soon too, but I think we still have a long wait here in Minnesota until the interview :/

The lag is pertaining to the interview. It does not matter if they are ready to schedule an interview and have processes the EAD as soon as possible.

If your local office is backed up, ur interview would not happen for quite some time, thus no green card/conditional green card till that time, and in some cases in some local offices, people end up renewing their EAD after a year while still waiting..

Yup, and considering the new developments under the new president, i won't be surprised if the wait times become wilder and more erratic.
