AOS December 2016 Filers (merged)

Hi Everyone!

 

We mailed our AOS on 12/22 (just under the wire for the fee increase) and it was received on 12/28. We received the NOA on 1/18 via email. I spoke with someone yesterday and she said that we should receive the letter for biometrics within 30 days so hopefully in the next couple days it will arrive. If it's already been 30 days for you I think it's ok to call them and see what's going on.

Meh. Haven't got my biometrics letter. 

 

My timeline:

12/21- Mailed packet to USCIS

12/27- Packet Received 

1/11- Checks cashed

1/12- Received 4 e-Notifications (I-130, I-485, AP & EAD) 

1/18- 4 NoA in the mail

I went to a service request today. They suggested I write to the NBC asking them to drop the co-sponsor since my income as an intending immigrant is enough.

Letter of employment for the co-sponsor

W2 forms for 2012,2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 for the co-sponsor

4 pay stubs from 9-12/2016 for the co-sponsor

Tax return forms (1040) for the co-sponsor for 2013, 2014, 2015

 

Lets see when they receive that or what they have to say this time

btw, did your case status change on the uscis site ?? Mine still says case received, even though I've done my biometrics.

I hope so.

 

It changed to the RFIE status and the next update should be RFIE received hopefully.

I would think it's still too early??! Most of us are still waiting for our ead at the most.

I sent my RFIE response on Saturday and my status has since been update (January 26, 2017) saying they've received it. Still patiently waiting for further updates especially on my ead.

Did you get a status change already??

Yeah it probably is too early, but from my research, I've seen that most people have their case ready to be scheduled for interview before the EAD is issued. And in cases before December some people have their case ready to be scheduled for interview a few days after their biometric appointment.

I864, lack of evidence W2's etc. same generic requests.

I received a notice today from USCIS saying that they did not receive my I-693 and that they want me to bring it to the interview. Not an RFE I guess but just them notifying me I need to get the medical done before the interview.

I just sent mine yesterday, same generic request. Lets see what happens.

Your old timeline is still confusing btw. Maybe you should add a signature with both timelines.

Just bring it with you. A lot of people submit without the medical and do it later before the IV.

Hey Guys another update! My I-485 receipt now shows.

 

"As of January 27, 2017, we are ready to schedule your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSCxxxxxxxxx, for an interview. We will schedule your interview and send you a notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address. "

 

I guess that means everything was ok with my packet and the backround check has been cleared? Also what should I expect with the I-130 status ? Does that update or not? Pretty exicited Atleast to see it change but I guess it's not going to move for a while now till the interview:(
