My I-765 status is still showing received Dec 7, biometrics are compete Jan 12. I read somewhere I can use the receipt notice to prove I am eligible for employment? Is this true?

No this is not true, till the point you don't have a vaild EAD card in your hand, your E-Verify will fail, do not attempt to do such a thing.

As far as your work authorization goes if you have your old F1 EAD as still valid, and a marriage certificate you are good to go. Marriage Certificate acts as a federal name change document.

Wow!!! I got a severe headache looking at your letter coz they ask a lot!!! And btw, you have any idea of the color of the letter they send us??? Like your is yellow and mine is pink??? ?

some offices use yellow sheet when issuing an RFE. (Not all offices use yellow paper when requesting additional information about your case.) The color of the paper is helpful to some offices to alert the officer that you are submitting a response to an RFE.

Not heard of a Pink sheet through, however as mentioned above it might be just for the office to process your case faster as the sheet acts as a cover letter (especially if it has a bar code etc )

We got the biometrics appointment date in the mail today! Woot woot! :D How does this walk-in business work? I presume I need to call and ask if our local office accepts walk-ins first. If they do accept walk-ins, can we go in any day between now and our appointment date (2/2)?

Hi Guys

has anyone heard of requesting an expedite for the I-765 and I-485? I know the process for the work permit but never heard of it for the green card. When I search the forums there seems to be some people who got that done, how is that possible ? I have to request an expedite for my work permit as my new employer won't let me start until I have it in hand, the job also requires an extensive amount of money for them to invest in me for training purposes, so the recruiter asked me too if they could expedite the I-485 application. This seems unfair and odd to me that USCIS would do that but just checking if anyone knows anything?

F(1) Student on OPT doing AOS

12/05/2016 --> Package sent to Chicago lockbox

12/07/2016 --> Package Delivered

12/15/2016 --> Checks Cashed!

12/16/2016 --> Electronic NOA recieved 23:31

No, you can't expedite the 485 for employment purposes.

I should add add a caveat: of course if a federal agency requests that your application be expedited for some employment reason, then that's another story.

No idea. Mine looks more generic though.

And I have 87 days to respond while you have 45.

Tried to find out the difference, but none is listed anywhere.

What are you adjusting from btw?

I apply from F-1 student visa but I overstayed because my husband told me to quit school right after we got married because he said it is crazy to pay so much money since I already marry a US citizen already.

Hi everyone, does anyone know when you submit your RFIE, they have 2 different addresses. One for regular mail service and one for commercial courrier/express mail. So if I mail my documents using USPS flat rate envelop mail WITH SIGNATURE SERVICE, can I do the second address or I still have to do the P.O Box like when using regular mailing method? Because I know they won't be able to sign for your mail if you mail it to an P.O Box, right? Thank you guys.
