Checked my status and it said that a REF has been mailed to me on 01/11/2017. Huhu.

They said in the notification is INITIAL EVIDENCE. How about you?

That is the one I am getting as well.

Unfortunately, that is the one that restarts the clock.

Is it on your I-485 too?

What do you mean by restart the lock? So it is like they are suspend our application until they get the documents from us right? I am getting so frustrated now. Wanna swear!

It resets the clock for the i-765 according to my understanding.

I read that here:

I think it might just be suspending the case, but you cannot request a service request in 75 days from the original filing date.

 

Would appreciate any help from any of the other VJ members here

Oh my gosh!!! How tricky and frustrating those rules are!!! I guess I am getting those evidences because we don't have Tax Return of 2015

The clock will also stop if USCIS issues a request for initial evidence pertaining to the principal application/petition that serves as the basis for your application for employment authorization.

• For example, if your eligibility for employment authorization is based on a pending Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, and USCIS issues a request for initial evidence pertaining to your Form I-485, the clock for your Form I-765 will stop when USCIS issues the request for evidence and restart when USCIS receives the requested information.

 

 

This should meaN it wont start the clock. I'll have my bio next week. Hopefully no RFE.

Hello! I am adjusting from J1 and I'm from Washington state. So far my timeline is as follows: 

 

12/21- Mailed packet to USCIS

12/27- Packet Received 

1/11- Checks cashed

1/12- Received 4 e-Notifications (I-130, I-485, AP & EAD) 

 

glad I sent it off before the 23rd, the new fees are so expensive, like it wasn't already..

Don't.

There is no website update for the "biometrics letter sent".

You just receive it.
