Had my interview today, and and and.... It's APPROVED. They approved our case and the status changed to New Card being Produced even before we reached home. Interview went well and the interviewer was really professional and easy going she asked for our marriage documents, latest tax returns, and Life insurance policies which we didn't have it at that moment but she as okay with it and said it's fine no problem. She asked us just the basic question. So relieved to get done with this. Thanks to everyone on this forum all those key information really helped us a lot. Good luck to everyone.

Congratulations!!

For some people who might want to prepare ahead of time and get their files ready, do you mind sharing what files you prepared to take to the GC interview with you? Does the interview letter list the items you're expected to bring with you?

We are planning on taking a copy and originals of everything we submitted with the AoS application back in December, but I am interested in knowing if there is anything else we should look into preparing. We provided some pictures in December as well, but we will also bring an updated photo album.

Thanks!

Thank you.  I just got an update that my New Card was mailed to me.

Well on the interview letter you'll have a list of documents that you need to bring with you to the interview normally that list is more of a generic one. In our case thanks to my wife coz she did all of the paperwork, we did take all the originals with us, her's the list of docs that we carried.

1. Photo ID's. Passport., EAD's.
2. Joint documents having both of our names such as bank accounts, Vehicle Insurance, and Lease papers.

3. Photos, not just the wedding pics they expect you to show some pics before and after wedding and while you're dating each other. Take plenty of pictures they will keep some.

4. Birth certificate both of them.

5. Naturalization certificate of your petitioner, his/her passport as well.

6. Latest tax returns (2016) (don't forget this)

7. Marriage Certificate.(don't forget this)

8. Life Insurance, 401K (make sure you're spouses name is listed as a beneficiar, don't forget this)

9. Carried all the originals that we submitted at the time of filing the application.

Questions that were asked during our Interview:

Started off asking my DOB, place of birth and validated all the details on the application.

Place and date of marriage

How long you have been married.

Then she asked me how did I meet my spouse and where did I meet her.

Where we worked and are we living together.

Have we separated in the past year.

She was satisfied and case approved.

(Don't panic answer calmly)

Good luck to you all.

Approved at the interview!

PD 12/20/2016 Atlanta

Our interview was scheduled for today. Interview was at 8:30am and we left home at 7am (usually takes 45mins to drive there so we had 45 extra minutes in case of bad traffic). So happy for the extra time cause we had TERRIBLE traffic driving there and just arrived 1 minute before our interview was scheduled. We rushed into the building at 8:23am and were so lucky that there were no security lines or check in lines.
We checked in at 8:29 and at 8:30 our interviewing officer called us in. She swore us in, asked for our id's and passports.
Next, she asked my wife (petitioner) to confirm her own name, address, birth date, phone number and signature.
She then asked me (beneficiary) to confirm my name, address, birth date, phone number and signature.
She asked us how we met and then left to make copies of our documents. She returned and asked the Yes/No questions and then looked through our photos. Didn't ask anything about them but my wife pointed out who was who. She asked if we had any extra documents to give her and we gave our new lease, car insurance documents, health insurance documents. (we had already submitted stuff with our application)
We have been married for 3 years and we lived for the past 2 years in my country (Sweden) and so she asked my wife how that experience was.
Finally, she printed out something and said she was recommending us for approval.
We thanked her and left. The interview took exactly 17 minutes (I timed it:). She was very professional but not chatty at all (which suited us fine).
About 10mins after we left, we got an email that my card was in production. Yay!

We had our interview today in Seattle, early this morning.

Very little wait, comfortable waiting area, and very kind IO. We talked about our relationship, the time we spent together before getting married, and the various trips we've been on together and to see one another.

I'd gone overboard on organization with documents, so my binder was filled with joint bank statements, proof we had joint credit cards, print outs showing each other as beneficiaries on 401(k) payouts and life insurance payouts, as well as photos and travel documentation.

He worked through the original filing, checking all the various details from the I485 form, then asked about why I came originally, and how that changed from my original plans. We moved on to going through the supporting evidence, and after telling him I had plenty more if he needed it he said: "let's just check on the photos". He went through all of them (I'd bought about 20), asked who people were, where they were taken, and had a nice chat about our wedding (at the Space Needle).

He explained that it was clear we were in a genuine relationship as we were so natural with each other, reminiscing about past vacations and experiences and that he was recommending me for approval. He said I'd receive the card within the next two weeks and to check the case status online for details of when it'd be produced.

All told, we were in the room for about 15 to 20 minutes, and only really had a 15-minute wait before that.

Six hours or so later I've got text messages and email alerts from the USCIS website saying my card has gone into production!

Processing times are updated.

https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplayInit.do

We definitely fall outside the processing time at this point, and created an online SR. It says to expect a reply by October 10th. :(

Should we be contacting the senators/congressmen or Ombudsman now?

Congrats @freshgreengrass ! 🎉✨Most importantly, you were approved on the spot and may rest until ROC. Happy for you.

We have a similar timeline, but while our local office is just about 10 days behind yours on the website, we haven't heard anything since EAD...but we will get there! And the celebration will be for us too!

Have a great weekend, and patience for everyone who is still waiting like us!

Hello do you have any update on your case as I see your local office is San Francisco too and other December filers have reported movement on their  respective cases. Good Luck

I think it has to do with the individual officer handling your case. Some of them are very slow and pile up cases. I filed in October and got my interview in September while some October filers got their interview July and August. So don't worry, you'll get a response soon.

Here is an update from my side.

I raised an SR for both I-130 and I-485 as soon as the recent processing times were posted because at this point the online posted processing time was past the date when our cases were received. I got an email response to the SR this morning that said that our case was the field office (JAX) and we should hear from them soon about an interview date, and to contact the USCIS customer service phone line if we don't get an interview date in 90 days since the SR response.

I came home to a letter from the NBC with our interview date for October 23rd, 2017. Our interview date is almost exactly 10 months since the initial case received notification. I had also made an InfoPass appointment a couple of days ago for the first week in October, but I am going to go ahead and cancel that now we have an interview date.

I hope everyone else who is patiently and anxiously waiting starts hearing from their field offices soon, as well!

Hello All,

I am also a Dec filer (Priority date Dec 19) and I got a notice from my lawyer last week Sept 22nd that my interview is set for Oct 26th; the lawyer scans me the actual letter from USCIS with the list of required documents to bring to the interview. This is Orlando, FL.

I did not raise any SR upon advice from my lawyer as the Florida offices was quite back-up with the hurricane. The weird thing is that my online account with USCIS is not updated at all: it still says "As of May 30, 2017, we are ready to schedule your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSCxxxx for an interview. We will schedule your interview and send you a notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice."

Is this normal? I and my spouse are both excited but nervous about the interview; this is about 10 months since our priority date in Dec 2016 to get the interview notice.
