I have a priority date of December 1st 2016, and live in Seattle, where the USCIS site says they're processing cases with dates in mid-August. Ugh.

Even speaking to an L2 on the phone to see if there was any additional information was of no use. I couldn't even get a firm confirmation that my file had been passed to the Seattle office, just vague responses around "it will be processed there" and "you're still within normal processing times".

Thankfully my EAD/AP process was smooth and I've been able to secure a job and visit family back in the UK, but getting the GC is just taking longer than I expected.

Any other Seattle filers in a similar boat?

Is there anyone here who filed last December 2016 and still has "fingerprint received..." on their case status on uscis website?

We filed last dec15, 2016. They received it on dec22. Had our biometrics done on jan19. Ead card received around march 20. But I485 status still says "fingerprint received..." Just want to know if someone has same situations or any opinion or input would help a lot.

thanks!

Kinda in the same situation but im here in California. On the processing dates in my local office, it says September but it has been moving just two weeks on the last two months. I guess it would take 9-11 months from December 2016.

Does your case status still states "fingerprint received..."?

Me. I'm waiting for the Jacksonville, FL office. Package sent on Dec 17th, email/text notifications received on the 22nd, and NoA in the mail a week or two after that. My status is still at "case received" and "fingerprint fees received", although I already did the biometrics and received the EAD/AP combo in early April.

Called a couple of times and they wouldn't give out any information, and not even tell me if the field office has the case yet..The online processing time for Jacksonville is in mid-September but has only moved about 2 weeks in the last two processing time updates. I'm hoping that we get at least a month notice whenever interview time rolls around because my spouse has a lot of traveling coming up starting in October/November for medical residency interviews, and we might even have to reschedule the interview.

My mom had her interview today at Phoenix field office and was approved on the spot. Interviewer insisted she waits while card was ordered. And printed approval notice for her..

Online Update Went into card production on the spot too.

Glad to have this wrapped this up.

Next up citizenship in 5 years by which time, I hope processing times are way better.

Godspeed to the rest of you waiting.

@LTrucker , @PinoyInUS & @Bronxnyc you are not alone.. most folks with pending cases in this group (I'll guesstimate atleast 60% of Dec filers) are still stuck at "finger print" or "RFIE, RFE received" or "ready to be scheduled" stages since January.

They may not post often cos there really isn't no update  to post about. Just agonizing wait for that interview date.

Godspeed on your journey..

Keys to not getting frustrated are the following 1. Realizing there are others like you in your jurisdiction and you are not an exception per say.

2. Dont be sarcastic and do not become caustic (I get a hint of both from your tone)

3. Don't over analyze, be alert

4. So carry on patiently sticking to the best option at hand

cheers

I'm not sure how these "advice" are meant for me. I'd argue they apply more to you.

Note: You can be an eternal optimist and say things the way they are with frustrating processing times without putting a positive spin ala "it's moving along nicely..., "gives me hope...".. the 2 are mutually exclusive I believe.

It's very OK to vent or rant about the frustration(s). #justsaying

Go on page 131 of the the thread and see it in the context I quoted you. I felt your tone was being sarcastic and that does not help people like us who can't use the loopholes like you did when you changed your moms address. We can't because of jobs and being stuck in Minnesota.

anyways, congratulations for your parents approval.

anyways, congratulations for your parents approval.

Thanks for the congrats...

Per post on page 131, I will end this by reiterating I was not being sarcastic in my opinion by saying being scheduled should get one excited in a non-backlogged field office. That you disagree with that is fine too

And the hoping for the best part is really all we can do. No sarcasm there either

Why you think that opinion was meant not to help you baffles me. The posts were in general and not specific to you. Note: Never did I refer to my parents app or asked that you consider doing similar in the post you referred to.

For clarity, You are required to file an AR11 (change of address)even if you move from an apt unit to another in the same building. That the action yielded faster processing times in my case shouldn't get you worked up.

I just refuse to be a uscis apologist.. and give them a pat on the back when they are slacking off as is clearly the case with St Paul field office. Were it your utilities provider given similar service you will venting on the phone with customer. But I accept your take that it is "moving along well" but I don't agree with it.

You should return the favor and not take it personal.

Again, Apologies if my take made you unhappy or was not helpful.

I remember you changing the address for your parent from Minnesota to Arizona, based on your research that Arizona was processing much faster and as she was visiting relatives there anyway. Maybe I recollect wrong.

And whining about USICS is totally fine, everybody is frustrated, but how is that gonna help if it's not a solution ? Asking everybody to be patient while being alert is the best strategy. It neither makes a person a USCIS apologist nor dull. But you do have the right to disagree I guess.

And yes your posts did make me unhappy and I made that known, you have apologized for it, so let's move on and stop the post mortem.

Best of luck
