I'm getting a bit worried,

We had our successful interview last Wednesday, but the status didn't change at all and today I checked the mail and found a letter of approval for I-130, but still no status update... I-485 is on "interview scheduled", I-130 is on "case received".

Folks who have already received their greencard, could you tell me about your experience? Shouldn't the online status get updated right away?

Hey, have you heard from them yet? It seems like I'm always a few days behind you with everything lol Had the interview on 05/09/17 and our case is on 'Interview completed and my case must be reviewed.'  We got verbally approved and received an  I-130 approval notice as well.

@lleaka I know right?! I think they wouldn't even tell you much anyways other than your case is within processing time like they told me

I have not:/ I think you're in a better situation, had my interview 2 weeks ago, and it still is showing 'interview is scheduled'... I'm getting very anxious.

AOS:

01-05-2017 - NOA1 received

05-03-2017 - Verbally approved in interview

05-26-2017 - Card was mailed

No news here . Still at " evidence received " . In case you don't know, you can see your mail in advance on myusps.I just check it that way to make sure I haven't missed important mail.

Ill probably try re-checking when I'm off in a few weeks.

I check with my usps everyday. But sometimes I get mails that didn't show up in my usps, perfect example my discover statement never showed up in my usps.

I don't think it's common for those adjusting from F-1 to get approved on the spot. They need to review our immigration history and that probably takes time. Some people had to wait for a few months, even though their I-130 was approved. You just never know.

Well, I got my green card in the mail today...even though the officer who interviewed us said it won't be approved until I send in a copy of my Canadian birth certificate. I guess I don't have to bother sending it in now? I just worry that sending it in might complicate things, but I don't even have a copy of my birth certificate yet. Kinda weird, but woohoo green card!

Hey Sausa, I hope for fellow MN filers like sebatianshaw & me, that you get your interview soon.

I don't even have "ready for scheduling" I-485 update yet and I hate to think it could be another 4 months before before interview letter is mailed

Hopefully our interviews will happen before the medical expires I think mine expires in the sometime in end of Novemeber although I knew Minnesota was slow was willing to take the chance to save the hassle

That's a sweeping generalization about F1 taking time. Can u site some examples of people you know ?

I have observed that it is pretty random, for example fellow F1 status forum filer  megha13 got the GC in 90 days in her hand so each case is pretty unique and depends on many more factors than we can assume.

I went by the AOS timelines here on VJ. It seems that statistically it's more common for F-1s to wait for approval after interview compared to K-1. I never said F-1s couldn't get approved on the spot and I added 'we never know.' My IO said she had to review my immigration history and took copies of all my school papers, so I assume that it's easier for K-1s to have the immigration history reviewed because they arrived recently. Anyway, we can agree to disagree. It's my conclusion, you make your own based on data available to you.

We can agree to disagree.

Also this is the first time I have realized that a beneficiary has to take school papers like transcripts/ degree if he/she is from f1 ? Kindly confirm. Also did you send them in your initial package too ??

I didn't send them in my initial package and I didn't know I was supposed to have them either (but someone in one of  the discussions here on VJ said they had received an RFE for I-20.) I was lucky that I brought all my documents to the interview. She told me I was supposed to have copies and was kinda annoyed that I only had originals. She took copies of all my I-20s and transcripts. So this just might be another 'we never know' moments where every IO has a different system.

Oh dear, My Mom's I-693 (medical) expires by October ending. Hopefully I wont have to spend much on getting a new I-693

add to the fact that I have had to spend $300+ to change her flight (Until GC is on hand) as I do not want her subject to secondary inspection while travelling on AP.

Based on VJ posts, while most Field offices are approving cases 6 months or so past the websites processing dates, MN cases being worked on could actually be earlier than website processing dates.

USCIS Tier II officer confirmed cases (I130 & I-485) are still at NBC 2 weeks ago. So, I really am contemplating changing location (state) for the only I-485 at this point. My mom has been visiting her cousin in another state anyway and she likes it there.

it seems an overdo, but could save some agonizing wait time.

Bigger lesson: To never procrastinate any immigration app

Apologies for the rant :)
