I really don't know what to make of it...

 

i had no RFE and mine still says fingerprint received. I've talked to a tier 2 who said my case has been transferred on Feb 17. Then I went to an Infopass on Thursday and the officer said it hasn't been transferred and it won't be transferred until we get an interview date. :blink: On the website it says they are processing June 14 applications as of Feb 28. She printed a paper saying they are processing Sept 12 on that day, April 27. This last part might be a good thing though... 

 

i also asked regarding filing an AP right now, She gave me directions and told me if there is an emergency I can get a passport stamp same day at the office.

Still researching more on this though, including how claiming her for taxes affect her eligibility for some of these subsidies/benefits.

Per GC, You are one step ahead of me. You are already on queue for interview, my local office? processing April 3, 2016 :(

My parents are retired from overseas and it is not their plan to find an employer even though they have their EAD's. I am wondering whether they can both get qualified for Medicaid because of the fact they pretty much don't bring in any income. With me sponsoring their GCs, wouldn't they take my household income into consideration when evaluation eligibility?

Having your work permit help a lot. Did you get AP with your work permit? If you did, and you anticipate a long wait for your interview, and you feel comfortable traveling on your AP, go visit your family!! I'm sure they miss you too.

You should be looking forward for that visit. No I didn't apply for AP with my permit, I'm kinda scared of traveling without a green card hence why I'm keeping my ### put 😂😂😂😂. The greatest thing is that my daughter can travel. I just booked her ticket to come visit me for summer

Unfortunately Medicaid is a "federal Means tested public benefit" and you(I-864 sponsor) may be liable for the cost eventually.

 Most resident aliens are barred from receiving “Federal means-tested public benefits” for a period of 5 years from the date of the alien’s entry with a qualified alien status.

Medicaid is not so much free as it is tax payers are in fact paying for it. So technically, they could be a public charge and that will be in violation of your I-864 affidavit of support. So bear in mind this could impact their immigration journey, so i'd say thread carefully and do your research well

That's what I thought. Ready to cough up $1100 a month for both of their insurances. I am happy that they are with me though.

But, better to be safe than sorry. (This part at least is) OVER!!!. Finally!!! Time to do some traveling :) I'll keep you updated on when the card actually arrives.

Congrats. We had ours yesterday and approved on the spot. It wasn't as smooth as yours but God is great and He made it possible for us. Keep us updated on the card arrival.

Actually I never got the EAD/AP card, they never got approved for some reason. But it's ok. No RFE either.

Awesome regarding the timeline deviation.  Let us know if you built one.

Hope it helps... San Francisco office says they are processing June 14 as of February 28. I went there on April 27 for an Infopass and they showed a print out that they were processing September 12.  

 

Their printout out is basically a month ahead of the website. And it seems more accurate from what I've been seeing.

[day 00] 12/22/16 ~  Application mailed (I-130, I-485, I-765, and I-13)1

[day 0]   12/24/16 ~  USPS confirmed delivery at USCIS Chicago Lockbox

[day 1]   12/27/16 ~  Priority date (USCIS website's listed date of packet arrival)

[day 16] 01/11/17 ~ Checks cashed, and (4) email and (4) text message application acceptance NOAs received

[day 22] 01/17/17 ~ I-797 (NOA) x4 received in the mail  

[day 25] 01/21/17 ~ Biometrics letter received in the mail

[day 38] 02/02/17 ~ Biometrics appointment (on designated date)

[day 46] 02/10/17 ~ "Interview Ready to be Scheduled"

[day 86] 03/22/17 ~ "Interview Scheduled" for April (USCIS website status)

[day 88] 03/24/17 ~ "Notice of Interview" official letter for April received in mail 

[day 105] 04/10/2017 ~ EAD/AP updated online to "New Card is Being Produced"

[day 112] 04/17/2017 ~ EAD/AP "Card Was Mailed To Me"

[day 116] 04/21/2017 ~ EAD/AP combo card received priority mail

[day 123] 04/28/2017 ~ green card APPROVED at interview (I-485 status online changed to "Case Was Approved")

[day 130] 05/05/2017 ~ GREEN CARD ARRIVED!!!!
