Okay awesome, do you know of this app called DMV Genie? It is a superb app that I'd recommend. I personally used it and learnt so much. It is basically testing on every possible sections that dmv would ask from. I read the dmv book to be on the safe side but to be fair you really don't have to, but I'd recommend reading the book to just have a thorough understanding. But you could check it out

That app is so helpful. I have been using it as well. Going to do the learners test(written test) next week

It really is, did you try to do the marathon section? You can do that part and just try to answer all questions when you've finish the other sections.

Yes, i have it. So far , I've only done the first 4 parts , not the marathon yet. I was actually curious to see how good of an app it was since no one around me knows about it .Thank you !

 

@Brandja @Bronxnyc Do you take the written test on the same day you go to the DMV or do they give you an appointment at a later date ?? I'd love to just be able to go and do the test all at once since I'd still be on vacation by the time I go apply.

You're welcome!! 

 

Once you go in on the day you'll be able to do the written test. You don't have to have an appointment, (I didn't, I just went early before they opened).

 

If you already know how to drive you can do both the written and the driving test for the E license on the sameday. If you have an appointment or not to do the written test, you can let them know that if you pass you'd like to do the driving test on the same day at the dmv. I think there will be some dmv that don't do the driving test, so you should choose to do the written test at the one that does both at the same place.

I know it's same day and I was told it cost $77. 

 

I wish i sh I had put more emphasis on learning to drive when I was back home in Jamaica. But my hubby made it clear I got to get with the program cause he won't be doing all the driving when we take road trips😂😂😂

Received BOTH EAD/AP card AND Greencard at the same time yesterday ( Saturday ).   I thought the EAP would get there at least a few days before the Greencard. Haha.  

Going to the DMV and SS office tomorrow.

Yes, the status changed on 04/11 as New Card being Produced for my EAD and I received the actual NOA on Friday, 04/14.  Any idea as how long it might for us to receive the actual cards?

So usually the approval notices seem to be coming 5 days after (we both seem to have it quicker) the card seems to change status to it is now mailed around 5-7 days from approval. Now longer since there is a backlog in the production team too  i would think 10 days ? and then once it gets mailed out - it reaches anywhere between 2-7 days!

yeah, I hope it comes before April 28 as I have an upcoming travel plan. Thank you
