Hi everyone I am new to this forum. Below is my timeline of the pending AOS application:

 

USCIS Receive Date:             12/22/2016

Called tier 1 and requested expedite on AP:   03/31/2017

Online expedite case complete:    04/03/2017  (Later on received letter to request supporting documents but I never sent since approval)

EAD in production status:       04/05/2017

EAD & AP approved date:       04/05/2017

EAD & AP approval notice received:  04/10/2017

EAD mailed to me status:                   04/10/2017

 

I was wondering if anyone could kindly shed some light on how much time do I have to wait from "Card was mailed to me" to "Picked up by USPS" (or I guess some people never got the latter status).  And in general how much time does it take from "Card was mailed" to actually receiving the physical card.  I really need the actual card for an application, and the wait is driving me insane.

Some of you have also started getting the interview scheduled, that's awesome, coz AOS is the main point of contention here and EAD is just a minor milestone. Congratulations to those who have already given or have their interviews soon. 

 

For me, i checked the latest status on my AoS (i-485) by calling USCIS, they told me that it seems my file has been forwarded to my local office. The problem is my local office St. Paul Minnesota, is severely backed up and is one of the slowest in the country due to being the only office processing 3 and a half states. 

 

 

How did you confirm this info? and why "it seems my file.."

USCIS though Can't they just confirm or deny knowledge of it?  ....

It should take 3-5 days at the most. You should receive this week, other things being equal

By the time he came they had already approved his immigrant visa and we were planning on moving fwd with consular processing but we realized by the time his interview @ the U.S Embassy in Kingston would come he would've been in the states. It would appear you already have this intent to AOS before the child is here(USA), This would also appear to be visa fraud !!!

 

Per @Jboogie, they were "planning on moving fwd with consular processing" but "changed the nature of the petition from consular to AOS within the U.S?" after the child was here.

So he had no such such intent to AOS initially. This is legal.

 

Clearly, both cases are not similar

I've been following this thread but I rarely write. I just want let you know this morning at 9.00 am my I-175 application status changed in New card is being produced!!! :) I'm so happy, thrilled and excited about it!!! :)

01/10/2017: Checks cashed

01/11/2017: Acceptance confirmation thru e-mails and texts  

01/17/2017: Noa in the mail

01/24/2017: Biometrics appointment letter for 02/02/2017 

02/02/2017: Biometrics taken (I've removed my piercing :(  )

01/30/2017: Got a letter saying I forgot the medical form I-693

considering the fact that you have been through this process before for yourself, i thought you would have realized by now that USCIS does not give clear answers . The USCIS tier 1 officer i talked to used vague language. She said and i quote "from what i can tell it has moved to the local office" but she did not seem sure about it and that is why my earlier statement.

Thanks for the information. Just talked to level 2 officer, although he is very friendly he could not locate any tracking information on the system of the case. He told me to wait till end of this week and call them again if card still hasn't shown up in mailbox.  He said USCIS doesn't hold cards that are produced. Once done they are sent on their way.

 

Checking other similar experience on various sites I got a feeling that USPS isn't always up-to-date on tracking #. Although my USPS app shows no scheduled deliveries I guess I will still have to watch out for a package at some point... hopefully soon.

And at last we have some news. Myself and my wife had a bit of a teary night last night because we are beside ourselves with stress for our interview tomorrow.

 

Finally this morning at 11:15, 26 hours before our interview, we have an update that the EAD card is being produced. 

 

I'm thinking this is good news for tomorrow, because if there was going to be a problem then they wouldn't have granted the EAD. Am I safe in that assumption?

 

We literally have everything ready for this interview and are meeting with our idiot attorney in the morning for final check over everything we have. We are just so ready for this to all be completed!

 

Has anyone got any feedback on length of time from now to EAD card arriving?

Hi,

EAD and interview are not related, because they are operated  at different centers. EAD is operated at NBC or other centre, while your interview takes place at your field office. I also have interview tomorrow in Buffalo, NY.

Day 88 04/17/2017 received  hard copy of approval notices for I-485 and I-130 

Day 88 04/17/2017 Online status showed New card was mailed

Day 91 04/20/2017 Received Green card in mail !!! Total 3 months

01/10/2017: Checks cashed

01/11/2017: Acceptance confirmation thru e-mails and texts  

01/17/2017: Noa in the mail

01/24/2017: Biometrics appointment letter for 02/02/2017 

02/02/2017: Biometrics taken (I've removed my piercing :(  )

01/30/2017: Got a letter saying I forgot the medical form I-693

yes, I am going to sleep now. tom interview at 9.45am and then I have an exam at 2pm... so stressful... good luck to you too... share the experiences

Adjustment from F1 status

01/18/2017  Mailed package I-130, I 485 AND I-765

Day 1 : 01/20/2017-USCIS received package

Day 6 : 01/26/2017-received NOA1 through text

Day 13 : 02/1/2017-received N0A1 hard copy

Day 15 : 02/4/2017-received Biometric Appointment

Day 28: 02/17/2017-did Biometric Appointment

Day 35: 02/24/2017-i485 case status changes to ready to be scheduled for an interview

Day 47: 03/08/2017- status changes to Interview scheduled on 13th april

Day 49 03/10/2017- received interview letter for 13th April

Day 83 04/13/2017- approved...case shows new card is being produced
