I was keen to know what is the usual processing time for interview at St. Paul. It used to be very fast till 2015 then things seem to have slowed down.

Official processing time is around 9 months according to the USCIS site for St. Paul, but I have observed its just an average and many people get earlier or later than the generic date mentioned on the site.

This is for my mom, so per AOS for parent, i'm hoping it can be approved/interview waived at NBC instead of being forwarding to local St. Paul office.

Hi there. I entered the US via k1 visa last Oct 21, 2016. My AOS  packet was delivered on December 31,2016 8am. As of today, I have not received any feedback yet and I expected that because of holidays. Based on experience, how many days will I get a notification that they got it?

Happy new years to you as well.

If you look at the timelines of the people in this group, you will realize that it took about 10 days for almost everybody to get their NOAs. It might take a little longer for you given the holidays and that the USCIS is a little backed up from december.

Went online and noticed that they sent out an RFE dated 12/29/2016 so now just waiting for that noa in the mail.

Hi, how did you check that they sent out the RFE to you? I thought they just say Biometric Fee was received!

I downloaded and app to check my case status and it automatically notifies me whenever an action is taken on my case. It's called case tracker n it's available in both play store and the App Store.

 I downloaded it too but it never notifies me nothing.

As unreliable as the USCIS systems are known for, this is a fairly common issue. Sometimes it takes upto 2-3 months for the Receipt Numbers to be actively show in their online system/apps.

I meant I still can check the status but I meant the app itself. It never notifies me anything like they are sending out an RFE as you said.

If you status is unchanged, then you dont have an RFE. Also it is fairly common for the status to not change but to get a physical letter for RFE. Just keep your physical address always the latest with USCIS and inform if you have any address change. 

 

Rest, you can take a back seat and hope for the best.

That being said, we finally sent our AOS for spouse from b2 concurrent filing package (i-130, i-485, i-765, i-131) to the USCIS Chicago Lockbox. I think we are bringing up the rear of the pre-fee hike packages with a postmark date of Thursday, December 22. USPS tracking indicates the package arrived on Saturday (Christmas Eve). Hopefully, we will receive an acceptance notice from them by the end of next week  

Again, thanks to all. I love seeing the support offered to everyone on the site. Maybe once I get this process figured out, I'll be able to help someone too.

Mine is dated 12/20 and I haven't received my bio appointment letter yet
