If it makes you feel better, I'm at day 111 with no RFE either.

For perspective, take the digits from your receipt number MSC17904,,,,,, and subtract 100,000 cases i.e) so that it becomes MSC17903... and look up cases around this # and you will find I-765 similar to your case, even more worse, they were also received in December & earlier too. So yeah, per Ileaka,  9-18 months processing time wont be incredible at this rate.

and until the NBC processing time for EAd/Ap on USCIS website updates from Nov 29, 2016 PD to include your PD, You really don't have a case with USCIS. Your only route will be to expedite request.

The good part is your PD doesn't matter, someone with a PD of Dec 31 can be approved today... even with those with Dec 12 PD still waiting..

Until then, Breathe people breathe.. :)

hey did you hear anything yet?

Nah... To be honest, I'm even more vexed at how long the I-485 may take and will not be as elated for the I-765 as my mom does not necessarily need to work.

But for most folks here I can understand the sense of urgency to start working, sort out drivers licence, get ssn etc

On this immigration journey, I've come to realize (personal opinion), the most important things:

1. I-485/AOS approval date.

2. Location location location ... Your field office or service centers in the case of ROC, N400 determines your processing times

3. Dont't delay! File your apps at your earliest chance, don't procastinate

The AOS approval date. more importantly  determines how soon you can file for ROC & citizenship and be done with USCIS bureaucracy and the stress it brings. So whether its takes 2 days for EAD approval or 300 days for ROC approval matters less in the grand scheme of things

Phew! Just got the update for EAD "new card being produced" what a relief. FYI the only reason this happened was because of my congresswoman. They wrote to them last thursday. Monday morning uscis replied saying they are expediting my processing. then just now got the update.

Now my parole didn't update but i am assuming it's a combo card and i will only know when i get the card. Parole still says "case was recieved"

Congrats @dcfilerdec22 and @ClassyBee:jest: I know the feeling! I think it is possible they are processing first EADs for people who are reaching out to them. They might be really backlogged. And my update came on Saturday, which means someone is working overtime!

I've already contacted my future employer, and will start as soon as I get the EAD. 😊

Means it takes 8 months to get an interview. That's a long time omg.

Once the EAD is mailed to takes about 2-3 days to get it call USCIS for the tracking number. I did , but they didn't have it and ended up getting the card today. It doesn't take long at all once it says card was mailed

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. Today USCIS replied to my congresswoman saying my EAD and parole will be pulled out for expedited processing. Just now i got the update that my card is being produced. oh my. what a relief. now my parole is still the same as "case was received". Really hope i get a combo card :) the whole point was for the parole since we need to plan our wedding and i need to go see my mom who is sick !

Was yours a combo card? what did it say in your EAD

I'm going to apply for a SSN tomorow. Kinda excited.

As far as I can tell I need to take my passport, the employment card and I'm guessing I-485 receipt.

Can anyone who has already done this confirm that? My I-94 has expired so I guess they wont need that.

Filed AOS and I-795: 12/22/2016

Case received sms: 01/17/2017

NOA for both: 01/21/2017

RFIE: 02/13/2017

Mailed RFIE: 02/15/2017

Biometrics Appointment:02/16/2017

RFIE received by uscis, case reopened: 02/17/2017

Notification that EAD is being produced: 03/24/2017

Notification of EAD mailed: 03/31/2017

Okay that's a good step, definitely something to be excited about. What you will need is your work permit (EAD), passport and a proof of address.

You don't need the I-485 receipt nor your expired I-94 but do walk with them to be on the safe side.

Thank you Brandja. I hadn't read about proof of address. I'm guessing something like a bank statement is what they're looking for?

EDIT: Or is my address on the USCIS paperwork ok too?

In all honesty i never read about it either, but a friend told me to, and when I went the lady asked for it. I did use a bank statement.

I live in Florida, so I'm not sure if every state does it, but I had to present mine.
