Oh my!!! Today I have received a fantastic text message! Yes, card is being produced!  I really need to work and get a CDL. I've already have a job lined up, but I was afraid they would drop me as I wasn't able to give them a timeframe of when I would get the EAD. I'm sooo relieved! 

A little history about my case, as it might help others: PD 12/27. I've raised a SR on 3/17, answered with the generic response: case under review on 3/31. Was able to speak with a tier 2 on 4/7. He said there was nothing that could be done, case under review with an adjudication officer, and that I should wait a few weeks (!) for an answer. I told him a had a job offer and needed to work for financial reasons. He didn't seem to care. But... website update and text message notice of card is being produced this afternoon. Yayyy 🎉

Cant wait to be scheduled for one myself! Are the dates corresponding with the processing times on USCIS website? 

It would be nice to know if the dates correspond to the site. 

For my local office, the date is May 29. But I've seen two people on VJ August filers getting scheduled for my local office mid April. I think quite often people get schedule a few months before than the website date.  God is awesome, so I'm pretty sure it can happen to us.

Thank you @Megha13! It was a long and unpleasant wait. My local DMV didn't even let me renew my drivers license. They told me to drive with the license from my country until I get the EAD. Not sure all police officers would agree with them, but well, this will be over super soon! I'm beyond happy! 😊🎉

@mrs.felicia Congrats !! I know you'd been waiting !! I'm dreading the DMV lines (need to get a learners permit) .

 

To those with interviews and Eads, congrats and good luck ☀️☀️☀️.

 

And to those still waiting, I know it's been a super long wait ( who you telling ??lol) but on the positive, you've done most of the waiting, it's now a matter of days. 

Look into infopass, congresswoman and senators. Don't be hesitant to call and ask about the process.🍀🍀🍀

@Mthldou thanks so much for the well wishes and congrats on your great news!  when we received the update last month, the website said our field office was processing August cases (obviously we have a PD date of 12/27), so I don't think the dates are very accurate. if the website was correct, they wouldn't even be processing our case for another 2 months...which should give you some hope that your interview day may come sooner than you think!! yay!! fingers crossed and keep hope alive 

 

My prayers for you and everyone else still waiting on EAD/AP and interviews. The wait can be brutal, but it will all be worth it in the end

@lleaka thank you for the congrats and for remembering how important the EAD is for us. Regarding the DMV, try to make an appointment online, then the wait won't be long. Alternatively, check if there is a DMV in your area that it is not too busy. Often there is an office that it is not the closest, but it is the one with a shorter wait. 

@Megha13 thank you for the congratulations! While I'm exited to get the card on the mail, I'm relieved to know that I have somewhat of a timeframe to get it. 

 

Good luck to the ones who have an upcoming interview. Be well prepared, and it will be just fine!

I have an interview on thursday. I am trying to be normal at that time, but i feel lit bit nervous. I hope it will go well . Will keep you all posted

@Megha13 have you put together all the paperwork? And read all the silly yes and no questions? You will be just fine!! Please tell us your experience afterwards. Do you have a lawyer? We didn't file with one, but I really want one to accompany us for the interview.
