Thank you 😊 so much for your support, I felt it all the way from Queens lol !! I must admit I called customer service to double check this afternoon , I really can't believe it !!

@Megha13 I guess make sure you have all you need ( double check the gonorrhea test , ppl have been getting past interview Rfe ) . Make sure you remember each other's info well ( like I usually forget our wedding date 😡). All my friends said it was just basic questions, nothing you wouldn't know about your spouse !

And GOOD LUCK. Stay calm and carry on 🍀🍀🍀🍀

Thank everybody.  I still haven't received my EAD card. The agent told me that the card really won't be that big of a deal at this point as we'll receive the GC most likely days after the EAD card.

A couple of hints for the interview.  Try not to be nervous ( I know it is easier said than done ) but if you have nothing to hide just act normal.  Here is the stuff I brought to the interview.  I tend to over prepare so I brought a lot more than probably necessary but I would rather have had it than not.

1. Your Letter with Interview Date  -  Must HAVE

2. Copies of the entire package I sent - Didn't use it at all

3. Pictures - Brought a bunch of pictures but she said the ones that I submitted with the package were more than enough

4. Passports - Agent asked to see the passport and also asked for older copies of the passport though we didn't have any.  If you recently got a renewed passport, I would recommend bringing your old one.

5. Bank statements, bills, etc - Although I had already submitted these with my package, the agent asked for ones with a more recent date.  She had to scan this in so I HIGHLY suggest you bring these.

6. Updated pay checks - Didn't use at all

Questions:

1. Formal questions about terrorism, arrest record, etc etc.

2. How did we meet?

3. Where is your address and who stays with you?

5. We supplied where and when we got married without her asking in normal conversation

Actually we spoke about other stuff a lot.  I had asked about her and her job.  She had been doing it for like 15 years.  At some point she told us that she is approving our application right now and we were like that's it?  We prepared so much.  She was like the only time that people need to be scared of her was if they had something to hide. Then the interview can be 4 hours and with separate interviews.

She said the most important thing is all in the BODY LANGUAGE.  So again I would say just relax and be yourselves and comfortable with your spouse when you do the interview. The body language is key to having a smoother interview.  Good luck to you all!

Hi,

Thanks a lot for sharing. Actually I have an midterm exam on the same day.. My interview is at 9.45am and exam is at 2pm. That's why I am worried what if my face looks tense ? :/ Anyway I think I will be normal.

The things that you mentioned I actually have those.

So i am taking new photos in a photo album(submitted photos along with application) , 2 new letters from family and friend, (I submitted 7 letters before ), then updated bank statements, updated apartment lease letter. Also I am taking cards, that we gave each other while dating and few junk mails. Is this enough???

Also my husband taking new paychecks, last two months and new w-2 form, he planned to do tax return today, so will take the copy of his new tax eturn and copy of employment letter that we submitted before..

And obviously all legal original documents we are taking.

@Mthldou Congrats 🍾 !!

It just means , as of January 31st , they are handling cases filed in may 2016 .

@dcfilerdec22 I'm keeping you in my thoughts dear. I pray you get news before going to your Infopass . How many days has it been since you contacted the congresswoman's office ?

To those who have received their Ead card already : Were you able to track your card before It marked as " mailed" ?? ( I'm talking via myusps) . I'm wondering whether Uscis update the tracking number in time or not.

@Mthldou Congrats 🍾 !!

Means it takes 8 months to get an interview. That's a long time omg.

Once the EAD is mailed to takes about 2-3 days to get it call USCIS for the tracking number. I did , but they didn't have it and ended up getting the card today. It doesn't take long at all once it says card was mailed

@jamaicanwifey did you get your EAD/AP yet?

Nope. Nothing yet, still says "case was received". but we have a late PD (12/27). Based on how long it's taking for everyone else, it seems unlikely I'll get my combo card any time soon or at all. Our interview is in a couple of weeks, otherwise I would raise an SR.

When is your PD? Has yours been approved?

Our journey applying to adjust status (while in the US) from a B2 visa as the spouse of a US citizen:

[day 00] 12/22/16 ~  Application mailed (I-130, I-485, I-765, and I-13)1

[day 0]   12/24/16 ~  USPS confirmed delivery at USCIS Chicago Lockbox

[day 1]   12/27/16 ~  Priority date (USCIS website's listed date of packet arrival)

[day 16] 01/11/17 ~ Checks cashed, and (4) email and (4) text message application acceptance NOAs received

[day 22] 01/17/17 ~ I-797 (NOA) x4 received in the mail

[day 25] 01/21/17 ~ Biometrics letter received in the mail

[day 38] 02/02/17 ~ Biometrics appointment (on designated date)

[day 46] 02/10/17 ~ "Interview Ready to be Scheduled"

[day 86] 03/22/17 ~ "Interview Scheduled" for April (USCIS website status)

[day 88] 03/24/17 ~ "Notice of Interview" official letter for April received in mail

[day 105] 04/10/2017 ~ EAD/AP updated online to "New Card is Being Produced"

[day 112] 04/17/2017 ~ EAD/AP "Card Was Mailed To Me"

[day 116] 04/21/2017 ~ EAD/AP combo card received priority mail

[day 123] 04/28/2017 ~ green card APPROVED at interview (I-485 status online changed to "Case Was Approved")

[day 130] 05/05/2017 ~ GREEN CARD ARRIVED!!!!
