Well since they had closed my previous SR with the generic comment, this time with the tier 2 agent I knew I had to expedited my request and luckily he was really helpflul. I requested him to expedite my AP and explained him that I have an upcoming international trip on April 28 which was planned months before and told him that I have also submitted my itinerary along with the I-131. So he agreed to expedite my case. I just checked my SR and see that it's now being assigned to a agent for processing. Hopefully it gets approved soon. .

Service requests don't do much. Just keep waiting. Some November filers and early December filers are just now getting the EAD approved. They don't go by the 90 days timeframe anymore. It took 114 days for me.

Thanks for being so postive @Mthldou

yes i think it's understandable for close to 120 days for people with RFEs (one or two). I have no RFE yet. I am starting to think of all the worst possible scenarios such as my EAD coming but my AP not coming. I really need my AP - my mom is not well and we are having our wedding-part 2 end of the year outside the US. :(

Your AP will most likely be approved. 99.99% sure lol I truly think your case will move forward by the end of next week. Do you have any reason to expedite?

Thanks again for the positivity. I can use my mom's health condition but they might end up issuing a "one-time" emergency parole which is not helpful to be honest. I also had a ton of business trips which i couldn't complete due to this parole so really need it for the next one year and not just one-time

just 1 on 3/24 . i am not sure how they will allow me to raise another SR before 4/24- i see a lot of people are raising one within less than 30 days. I contacted my congresswoman today and sent it a formal letter giving info

Oh if you've already reached out to your congressman I strongly suggest you to wait for now, within few days you should see some changes on your case.,I've been hearing that soon after contacting the congressman most of their cases got processed quickly and approved. Hopefully you'll hear something very soon.

Yeah, I would have waited for sometime more if I didn't have my upcoming travel.

I am in the same boat as you are with no RFE's it is still taking them so long to process.Hey if you are having medical emergency back home you can get your case expedited.

@Megha13 Thank you so much and most importantly, I'm sending you lots of luck 🍀🍀🍀🙏 for your interview. Please keep us updated 😀.

To those waiting, I'd say it's good to have a service request on file in case you ever need to contact the ombudsman ( as well as an Infopass) or/and a senator.

It seems like most people are getting approved by day 133 ( that's the longest I've found on VisaJourney as of recently).

Yes, give your congresswoman a few days. In my case, they didn't call/ email, I had to wait for a letter. This said, my case was automatically updated on my Uscis so you should know before.

I suspect my senator is the reason for my Ead approval, my case was updated a day after I called and learned a staff member was assigned to my case.

Anyhow , If really in need of an Ead , I'd recommend planning in advance as the whole congresswoman/ senator thing will take a few days.

@Mthldou Have you received the Ead yet ? I believe you got the notices right ?

So we are at day 105 and still nothing. Generic answers to my SR's for my EAD and GC.

Have GC interview next Thursday which will be day 112. However I have a job offer starting on 4/17 which I really need my EAD or SSN for.

Has anyone successfully gotten a stamp or anything on the day of the interview allowing them to go to SSA?
