264 days here...PD 12/6. Anyone else have those days where you find it difficult to see the light at the end of the tunnel? Where you feel like your time is never going to come? Like you're going to end up like all those people who have been waiting since Sept, Oct, and early Nov? Yeah, today is one of those days for me...

Me too 😣

So I checked processing times today and seems like there is no timeline for California Service Center for Citizen filing for spouse. It's not there in this update. Has anyone noticed that ?

Also is there anyone from California for December 2016 ?

Also, everyone who is getting approved is a citizen or green card holder ?

Thanks

I noticed last month that CSC isn't showing that they do 1-130 for US Citizen filing for spouse. I'm wondering if this is why Nebraska is more behind then they already were.

I filed and my case was sent to NSC where it's still not touched since Nov 2016

Hey all, hope you are all holding up with the long wait.

Some advice please, we are now 255 days waiting (Dec 16, 2016 - Nebraska). According to the USCIS website they are processing Nov 26 2016 applications. On the VJ timeline it says we should hear between Aug 22-28, and their processing time for NSC is saying Dec 20 2016 applications.

At the moment we are in the US visiting my parents, and we live together in Macedonia, so as much as we want it to happen now it is not as urgent as most of you being forced to live apart.

The question is when should I call USCIS or talk to my representative about contacting them???

thanks

You can always download USCIS app on your phone and check your case status that way and have someone at your address keeping eye out for any mail you may get as not always are u notified via the app.

You can call and inquire at any time but good luck on getting any answer that u want to hear..

@Sundee thanks, we have 2 apps downloaded and I check the website regularly. So far nothing. We are presently at the address I put in the paperwork, don't think anything will go to Macedonia but my mum-in-law is at the same address just in case.

Might wait another couple of weeks till after our wedding ceremony (we never had one so are having a small event with friends).

THanks again

I'm 12/6 PD and I'm waiting until after we are "out of normal processing time" to call because I already know they will just tell me that I am within the norm. So you would be out of normal processing time once the processing date on the USCIS website is past your PD (i.e. people with a PD after the current processing of 11/26 are considered out of normal processing). Can you please tell me what your experience was like traveling to the US with a pending I-130? I want to bring my husband for a visit but so worried about wasting money on plane tickets if they are just going to deny him entry...

@Alexis9294 thats what I was thinking, wait until our date is past what the USCIS website is.

As far as traveling we were really nervous to apply for a tourist visa because

1) we were told since we were in the process of I-130 he might be denied, a visa or denied entry at our US entry point, since we have the intention of staying in the US eventually. We were told by other people doing I-130 and a lot of folks on this group as well.

2) we were not sure he would even be given a visa and the cost

3) because Macedonia has a high number of people who overstay in the US, it is never certain you will even get a visa.

However:

since he had numerous prior visas from working on the ships he was given a 10yr visa almost immediately. The embassy just asked a couple of questions and the minute he said his wife was a US citizen they gave him the visa.

at SFO where we entered he was allowed to go with me through the US citizen line and then I was given the 3rd degree about living out of the country, the  officer simply asked him if he had been to the US before, he said "yes on the ships" and she replied "ahhh a seaman welcome back!"....

Depending on where you are I might recommend aiming for the west coast for entry point, as it sounds like they are friendlier, but no promises.

Hope this helps.... we are staying for 5mths and he was given 6mths allowance to stay...
