Hello Everyone,

Well after 1.5 months I finally was able to get everything together and I sent the petition today with fedex.

Hopefully they get it on Monday and then wait the 12 - 18 months it takes for my fiancee to get her visa.

Congrats on getting the petition off.

It shouldn't take 12 - 18 months to get the visa. Why would you think it would take that long?

The K-1 Visa should be in your passport within 6 months or possibly a little longer if there are any RFE's or anything else that might stall the process for a while.

Good luck. (You should finish entering all the information about yourselves - such as Visa type, Service Centre, your location, etc. so when you ask questions, we can answer you better.)

:dance: Congratulations. I know I felt a lot better once the visa was out of my hands and on the way to Nebraska. then I knew that there was nothing more I could stress out about, it was literally out of my hands :-) hope everything goes well for you.

01/03/06 - mailed I-129F application to NSC

01/16/06 - received NOA1 via snail mail

03/07/06 - received NOA2 via e-mail

03/22/06 - received at NVC

03/23/06 - case forwarded to embassy (Montreal)

04/03/06 - packet 3 arrives from embassy

04/11/06 - sent checklist and DS-230 part 1 to embassy

07/07/06 - Interview in Montreal

07/07/06 - Visa denied, handed in completed I-601

08/19/06 - I-601 received in Vermont

2 March 2006: NOA1 dated (received in mail on 9 March 2006)

4 May 2006: NOA2!!!!! (DAY 66)

8 May 2006: File Sent to NVC (as stated on email dated 9 May)

24 May 2006: NVC sends our file to London Embassy

8 June 2006: Packet 3 arrives (DAY 101)

25 August 2006: Pack 3 sent to London Embassy registered post

29 August 2006: London Embassy receives my Pack 3 - 9/9/06 pack 4 arrives

SEPT 2006:APPLICATION PUT ON HOLD - WE HAD A FALLING OUT.

MAY 2007:RESUMED THE VISA APPLICATION

6 June 2007: Medical @ 2.30pm - need to get anew GP letter and psychiatric evaluation

7 June 2007: INTERVIEW @ 10am - waiting for new police record letter

3 July 2007: APPROVED/Visa arrives
